A real treat. Warm hosts that actively reached out, keen to assist. A dream home with everything you need and more. Comfy rooms, master bedroom comes with ensuite toilet. Large living room with smart TV, a solid blue tooth speaker, and even a ping pong table facilitated post dinner activities. Large and well equipped kitchen for the travelling MasterChef wannabe. And a superb washer-dryer combo helped with my end trip laundry situation. Worth every penny. City centre location made it a great place to explore neighbouring towns/vineyards.

Staying with Paulina was one of the highlights of my trip. I adored my time with her, and our conversations in the morning over breakfast. The house itself is older but well taken care of and has so much character. The garden is phenomenal, and I would do my stretches there in the evening after wonderful full days of exploring the Nelson area. My room also had a toaster oven so it was quite nice to have the option to do some falafel salad dinners in the room to save on eating out all the time.

Located 5 minutes' walk to the beautiful Tahunanui beach and 8 minute' drive to central Nelson, Apex Motorlodge offers an outdoor swimming pool.

The motel is easy to find and close to cafe and beach. I was traveling by car and they had paring on site and good parking on street.
