The room was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. The owner, Valeria, was extremely helpful and made sure we had the best possible stay. Everything was well taken care of, including the correct mosquito repellent, which we really appreciated.

Excellent hotel with very good rooms and breakfast central in Matera. Best to park at the lockup garage outside of Matera and use their shuttle service for 25 euro per night. The hotel will book. Also need to reserve restaurants.

Everything was really great. Starting from communication before arrival to time to check out. Staff was extremely supportive and helpful. Hotel really unique, confortable bed, bathroom with good water system. Hotel is located in extremely confortable place.

The best stay of our trip! Such a special place in the heart of the beautiful Matera. We were warmly welcomed after our taxi ride booked by the hotel. Anne explained us everything about Matera with great recommendations! She showed us to our beautiful room in an old matera house. The hotel has an amazing aesthetic that resonates well with the city. The breakfast is also very much appreciated with nice music.

Such an amazing Cave hotel. the people are friendly. The room was spacious, with high ceilings. the furniture and amenities all on point. the bed and sleep-sofa both were comfortable, while still also looking like a cave <3 The room also comes with 2 giant moisture guards that keep the room nice. they make noise but can be switched off when going to sleep. Be sure to expect some humidity as it is a cave, this is not a negative point to me as it is logical but it appears not everyone was prepared for it haha You order breakfast the day before. It is then delivered to the room in the morning at the time you choose. The selection was good and the food lovely. on a final note, the entire city and also the hotel is surrounded by slopes and stairs. Wear some good shoes and take your time to get your luggage to and from the place you are staying. There is a manned parking garage near the hotel on the Via Vena (Parcheggio Communbale Via Vena) (few min walk) which costs 20 euro's a day. good price!

We loved everything about this HUGE apartment. The location is perfect, right near the Duomo and the views from the balcony over the sassi is WOW! Our host met us and was so accommodating and knowledgeable. The provided breakfast was plentiful and yummy. Our family of 5 had ample room in this huge apartment over 2 floors. Would definitely recommend any family to stay in this perfect Matera apartment.
