Everything, randomly The warm welcome from the owner and family, The location and the surrounding environment, The bedroom beautifully conceived with walls out of wood, cupboard, sofa, small table, very comfortable bed (even with bedsheet, not always easy to find in Kashmir). Set in the tranquil Nigeen Lake, New Jacqueline Heritage Houseboat (NJHH) is a true gem in Srinagar. This property is very clean, well maintained, and beautifully adorned with traditional Kashmiri interiors. We were treated to great hospitality by the owner, Mr. Maqsood his son Sami and their entire team. Special mention to Muneer for taking good care of us and our needs during our stay. We are vegetarians, and the food served was to our liking. The views from the deck area are beautiful. I would recommend visitors to spend atleast 2 nights to soak in the experience. We will definitely visit this property again. P.S, If you get an opportunity to visit the houseboat owner Mr. Maqsood's residence, pls do visit to look at his collection of Kashmiri pashmina shawls, carpets, clothes, etc. which can be purchased a trip souvenir.
