Offering view to the Five fingers Viewing Platform, Haus Salzkammergut is located in Obertraun, 5 km from the centre of Hallstatt and 400 metres away from Lake Hallstatt and the beach. There was a wide selection of meats, cheeses, fruits, breads, and pastries. There is a dining room on site where you can sit in the evening with a cup of coffee or tea at no extra charge. The view from the room was simply breathtaking — the lake in all its glory, visible both from the window and from the huge balcony outside the room. Everything was very clean and smelled fresh, and there were also high-quality, pleasant soaps provided, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The owners were extremely nice and friendly, attentive to our needs, answered all our questions, and even helped us with local discounts. Don’t forget to ask for a guest card to get a discount on the Dachstein cable car.

You can dine in the on-site restaurant and sunbathe on the terrace which provides lake views. Excellent location and hotels own territory. Chalet was very warm and cozy and comfortable. Swimming pool is great, views unbelievable. Our family totally loved the stay here.

Family-run for 150 years and renovated in 2014, Seewirt Zauner is situated right on the historic market square in Hallstatt’s car-free centre and 150 metres from the waterfront at Lake Hallstatt. All rooms offer lake or mountain views. Everything was perfect, the location, view, staff, breakfast and the room itself! The lady at the desk was very friendly and helpful and the lady behind the breakfast counter was super sweet and cheerful. We had an amazing experience and definitely will come again!

Renovated in 2015, this hotel in Obertraun on Lake Hallstatt in the Salzkammergut region offers panoramic views of the scenic lake and the Dachstein Massif. It features a garden with a pool and offers free WiFi access. Amazing hotel, beautiful location, and it shouldn't be considered as 2 stars...it is better than a lot of 3 stars I've stayed. Confortable room, super confortable bed, the room has a frigobar, coffee station, wardrobe and a table, good breakfast, amazing staff.

Apartment Hotel Seerose offers rooms and apartments in Obertraun in the heart of the Salzkammergut Region, a 1-minute walk from the shore of Lake Hallstatt and only 3 km away from the UNESCO-listed town of Hallstatt. The room was perfect for me--would be a little snug for two people, but cozy. :) Location was fabulous, just a minute walk to the lake and an hour walk to Hallstatt. The bus apparently runs often, as well, but I came by car and wanted the exercise. Highly recommend.
