This is my favourite romantic getaway in Durban. It's located very close to the Umhlanga city centre and incredible beachfront. The rooms are luxurious, the spa is well-appointed and we always wish our stay could have been a little bit longer.

A rooftop pool is behind aha Gateway Hotel - Umhlanga's characteristic green ‘screen’ surrounding the front the building. This eco-friendly hotel is attached to the Gateway Theatre of Shopping.

Beautiful location, garden, next to beach and quiet very modern charming rooms. Staff very friendly, comfortable beds and many pillows. Small but nice pool. Dinner extravagant in choices from sushi to great steak and giant schrimps.
