The room was spacious and clean, the hotel exceeded my expectations. In May I did not see any children in the hotel, it was very quite. Breakfast was ok, but without fireworks. I had expected more fresh vegetables to do vegge salat, some feta or other white cheese, there was nothing except tomatoes. Here a huge disappointment. Spa centre small but nice. Hotel very close to the airport, 5min by taxi - cost 10EUR with tip, few lovely local restaurants (with fish with banana!) close to the hotel, the village small, very quite and relatively flat, comparing to Funchal. On weekend few performances in the village by the local singers and dancers. I loved this quite place.

The design of the hotel is fantastic! The rooms are beautiful and clean, thanks to housekeeping twice a day! Thanks for the little attention on our pillows ;) Charles and his bold collegue (don’t know his name, sorry) at the reception are doing an amazing job. And last but not least Jorge, responsable for breakfast, runs from left to right to make sure everybody is happy and presentation of the food is up to standard. He was very helpfull to us and our baby! Congrats to the entire The Vine staff.

The perfect service was the possibility to park directly in the basement of the hotel. Although the parking area is small and maneuvering a car is sometimes difficult, without this parking it would be a big problem where to leave the car arround the hotel.

Appreciate specially arranged room upgrade. The staff was super kind and helpful, thanks to each and every one that made our stay memorable. The breakfast was very varied and tasty. The services were excellent. The room was cleaned twice a day. On my birthday I received a nice surprise from the hotel. At the reception I was recommended excursions with direct pick-up from the hotel and they were some exceptional excursions. We will come back. Thank you
