Hotel Monopol is excellent. In the city center, clean, excellent breakfast. I liked the old Spanish architecture of the hotel. I recommend Hotel Monopol, it's fantastic and I would come back again.

Stunning! The whole experience of staying at the Alhambra is very special. It’s better than it looks in the photos. Beautiful natural materials used in the fabric of the building, the detail in the finish, the art work - it’s all real, and very grand! We had a pleasant continental breakfast each morning. We enjoyed views of Teide and the nice old buildings of La Orotava from our room. We arrived via the Teide National park, and went on to explore the hiking trails of the national parks to the west and east during our stay. On our final day we explored the town of La Orotava by foot and found botanical gardens, museums, cafes serving traditional food, plenty of history - lovely stuff!
