Clean hotel, amazing staff, good complimentary breakfast, umbrellas available when it rains and pretty decent location next to the river. I even extended my stay for an extra night of how much we enjoyed this hotel. I definitely recommend it.

The location is very convenient to explore Kyoto by foot and by public transport. Nice restaurants and shopping district nearby. I found it to be very good value. The room was spacious with modern tasteful decor, a great shower and bath and a separate toilet. The room was very quiet, the mattress and pillow probably the most comfy I ever slept on in a hotel room. The all day drinks and pastries in the lobby were a nice bonus, it felt very welcoming to return to the hotel after a day of sightseeing.
