It was the best stay in our entire holiday. Even though it’s not in a vibrant city, we felt close to the culture and people and the spot itself is a little peace of paradise. We drove through the Hemel and Aarde Valley for some winetastings and ended up here; so sad we had to leave for Cape Town the next day again!

The owners and staff are always very friendly here and can’t do enough for you. The rooms are spacious and well furnished. Bed is very comfortable. Nice sitting out area outside room. Best to have the dinner. The food is delicious.

For visiting the hot springs it is good, however it is expensive and you are better off staying in an Air BnB near by and visiting the springs in the day time. Bedrooms lack privacy and are prone to noise from the outside and neighbouring rooms well into the evening.

We chose the route via Caledon, to Chelsea Flowers at...

We chose the route via Caledon, to Chelsea Flowers at Stanford, rather than the usual route through Hermanus. Beautiful drive through valley from Caledon to Stanford. Best in Caledon was dinner at The Barn Restaurant ... don't judge a restaurant by it's front door!!! It's a gem: extensive menu, generous proportions, friendly service, quirky ice buckets! Shop for personal essentials was easy to find. Spa and Casino at Caledon Hotel were of no interest to us. Flowers weren't open on the overcast day.

I was born and raised in Caledon and liked being back.

I was born and raised in Caledon and liked being back. It was just as I remembered. The beautiful mountain views, the town surrounded by farmland is an experience in itself. It is a quiet town and close to other towns like Hermanus, Gansbaai, Grabouw etc. I would recommend staying in Caledon as well as a visit to the Caledon Spa with its natural hot spring.

When you drive into Caledon you think you are just driving...

When you drive into Caledon you think you are just driving into a working farming village (which it also is) but it also has so much more to offer. Its a great stop when driving from cape town to the garden route, close to hemel and aarde valley and to hermanus. The town itself has beautiful botanic gardens, a big spa and casino, you can do quadriding and also worlds longest zipline is there! We loved our stay at the Caledon Grace Guesthouse- a wonderful Victorian home from the 1850's- in lush gardens where we could really relax after all this roadtripping.

Very nice room with beautiful view.

Very nice room with beautiful view. The hot pools were lovely, but the upper ones not very well marked. I had Sunday lunch in the restaurant, and breakfast also there and both meals were very good. The dining room is spacious with a lovely view.

We went on our honeymoon, and we are still raving about that...

We went on our honeymoon, and we are still raving about that breakfast ... the sauna and steam rooms are my very favourite and there's a gym!!!! My new favourite place to visit. We took a walk down to the little shopping mall every day and enjoyed that exercise too. The venue is amazing, and you will enjoy every minute.

I liked the staff at the Hotel area. Very friendly and helpfull. I liked the pools and the outdoor activities that are close by. The guy with the light blue eyes and braided hair were very friendly, fast service from him and very helpfull. He needs to be uograded to management position and things will turn around at restaurant area.

Lizelle and Lorenzo are absolutely lovely people. So kind, welcoming and professional. The main house, the cottage and grounds are so incredibly beautiful and well kept. The breakfasts was also lovely. Lizelle really went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Highly highly recommend Caledon Grace Guesthouse!
