The staff was very friendly and patient. 2 minutes after getting our keys we managed to lock ourselves out of the room. Although we were embarrassed to go back to the front desk, the clerk was very nice and insured us we were not the first ones and probably not the last ones that it happened to them. W

Communication was fantastic. The house is very beautiful and comfortable. All of the cook wear and dishes are there, which makes it very easy. The kids loved playing with the animals on the property. We will definitely book this place again if we are in the area again!

No breakfast provided. We loved the view from every room in the home. Really spectacular. we loved the friendly chickens and cats (couldn't sleep with them because of possible allergies). Saw beautiful deer almost every day. The stars at night were ridiculously beautiful (not like urban living). Close proximity to beauty was stunning.

Perfect location for visiting Capitol Reef NP!

Perfect location for visiting Capitol Reef NP! The Rim Rock Restaurant had great views for a nice dinner and Austin’s Chuckwagon Deli was absolutely perfect for breakfast, plus I saw lots of box lunches going out as well for hikers! It also had a well-stocked general store!

Torrey is a cute little town just 8 miles west of Capitol Reef National Park. Several restaurant and lodging choices but close enough to the park. FYI, better gas prices can be found in Bicknell, about 10 miles west on SR 24.

This tiny town just outside Capitol Reef National Park has several cool places to stay, but the Skyview Hotel is exceptional & I strongly recommend you give it a try if going to the park. There are also several interesting restaurants. We chose Hunt & Gather (about a minute from the Skyview) & the food was amazing!

3 days is plenty for the Fruita area of Capitol Reef.

3 days is plenty for the Fruita area of Capitol Reef. I've completed most of the easier hikes and 1 strenuous hike. I probably would need 3 more days for the rest of the hikes which are longer and more strenuous. Allot some time to rest and chill too! So ideally, 1 week is a reasonable stay. Enjoy the peaceful and quiet Fruita. The Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument Park is also nearby if you have extra days.

This is a remote town which principally services the national park and the local farming community. There is adequate choice of places to eat but shopping is limited. If you like quite, remote with wonderful views this is th eplace for you.

capitol reef... if you're there mainly for capitol reef, and also arrving on a 4x4. then it's worth it. otherwise the town was too small, nothing to do. capitol reef itself is only 20mins drive, from left to right.

Rim Rock Inn is located outside Torrey on the way to Capitol Reef National Park and is therefore closer to the park than accommodation in Torrey itself. There is a restaurant onsite although we didn't use it. We did use the pizza bar one night. We appreciated the complementary coffee and pastries that were provided in the lobby for breakfast.
