We stayed here for a night and couldn't have been happier! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming, super quick to respond, and very accommodating (especially since we arrived later than intended). The cabin itself is very impressive, it's a great size, it has lots of little touches that make it a nice place to be, there were even some snacks for us! Comfortable bed (I loved the blanket pattern) and a great bathroom. I Highly recommend staying here.

The accommodation is lovely. An authentic log cabin look from the outside yet inside modern, spotless and extremely well equipped. The kitchen is excellent and there are nice touches like free Netflix and board games. There is a terrace too and ample car parking space. We were met by Greg an extremely helpful host who showed us around. This is an ideal place to stay when visiting Talkeetna.

We loved our one night stay in Talkeetna and our room in the lodge was cosy and comfortable. It’s such a pretty location, by the river and at this time of year, the autumn trees are wonderful. Just a short drive into town and we’d recommend the Denali Brewpub for dinner and the Conscious Coffee (no food but great coffee and vibe).

Cute, funky little village with some good eateries, fun shops, and lots to do. I recommend the flightseeing with K2. We were lucky and had a clear view of Denali summit during a short window of clear skies. Also the jet boat river cruise was great. Very knowledgeable folks jetting us expertly up and down the rivers and telling us about history, culture, all things Alaska. The village is very walkable. Denali Brewpub and Mountain High Pizza were our favorite lunch/dinner spots. I'm really not a big pizza fan but the "star" appetizer was out of this world, and enough for two meals. Swiss Alaska Inn has a fantastic breakfast menu and the food was every bit as fantastic. High quality, prepared perfectly. The service was excellent. Worth the short walk outside the village.

Talkeetna is a cute village.

Talkeetna is a cute village. The old buildings, plus the arty shops make it an interesting stop. While there are touristy things, the village still has an authentic feel. Mountain High Pizza has good pizza. Enjoyed coffee at Conscious Coffee. The Dancing Leaf Gallery has beautiful items handmade by local artists.

2nd time we have been Talkeetna so that tells you that it is...

2nd time we have been Talkeetna so that tells you that it is a little goldmine. The ice-cream store you have to line up for it but the wait is worth it. We had zucchini bread from another vendor for breakfast and that was awesome. Around the corner from the icecream shop we found this place which had hamburgers and steak and the meal was amazing. The best fries ever. The quilt shop is brilliant and you can catch a train here for a day tour which we should have done. It is an amazing place. We did a tour of Denali so it was a 2 1/2 hr drive from here to and from but well worth setting up here.

I'm sure it helped that we had perfect weather....but even if it had not been, a rain jacket/poncho would have helped us still enjoy it. Beautiful views at the river. Great restaurant choices. Nice little stores. LOVED Mahay 3.5 hour Jet Boat excursion. We traveled all of Alaska....Talkeetna was our favorite destination, followed by Seward, Homer, Valdez, Denali, Anchorage, then Fairbanks

Talkeetna offers the perfect opportunity for outdoor...

Talkeetna offers the perfect opportunity for outdoor enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and those who wish to relax. We ate dinner and drank beer at the Denali Brewing Company in the evening and breakfast at The Homestead Kitchen the following morning. I recommend both restaurants for dining. Outdoor seating is available at both establishments. Denali Brewing has an outdoor gas fireplace if you can land a table nearby and provides overhead sunshades.

Small, quirky, artsy town worth your time!

Small, quirky, artsy town worth your time! Just 13 miles off the main highway, and so much good food!!! Mountain High Pizza Pie, The Salmon Spot, and Roadhouse morning cinnamon rolls, to name a few. Great local shops as well. Would DEFINATELY stay there again!

The villas were extremely comfortable . The kitchen was well equipped and we could easily make a hearty breakfast. The location is a short walk to the main street of Talkeetna which was good. There was a nice space to come out and sit together to enjoy the long summer days. The hosts were very hospitable and we enjoyed hearing about Alaska as well as the amazing moose starters and cheese platter they made for us. In all a very enjoyable experience.
