A charming town offering interesting, small locally owned...
A charming town offering interesting, small locally owned boutiques, restaurants and coffee shops. A larger shopping venue ( The Ohio Valley Mall & Plaza) is a short distance from the core city.
There are historic sites nearby; a wonderful walking path, paved, it was a railroad track. Therefore a mostly level, flat terrain, however, there are areas that have gradual inclines. A good leisure run or walk. There is a large gazebo perhaps to picnic, etc. Close by is Bellaire, OH, home to the no longer operating Imperial Glass Museum. Proximal, to St. Clairsville is also, Wheeling, WV, offering the expansive Oglebay Park, beautiful architecture, The Capitol Theatre , museums both art and historic. Plus, The Highlands another food, shopping and shopping opportunity.
A car is necessary to travel, however there is limited public transportation, and the cities mentioned are walkable. By walking, the extraordinary Victorian homes and business building can be appreciated.

St. C. is a small picturesque city, that is walkable, does have level and fairly challenging inclines. A lovely walking trail is nearby. The downtown has several small boutiques and the Ohio Valley Mall for shopping. Several restaurants for various plates; great pizza at Fabiod, DiCarlos, Defelice or Milanos.

I have been staying at this location in St Clairesville for...
I have been staying at this location in St Clairesville for several years when I come visit from Texas. The staff are the BEST ever (wanna shout out for Lorraine!!) The Inn is quiet, pleasant and so easy to get around the town). Never a problem and always a great experience! Recommend highly!!

I was in town for the Barnesville Pumpkin Festival with family. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was good. Dove Brand products were provided. A small hand soap for the sink and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were attached to the wall in the shower, so there were no itty bitty bottles to try to share between travelers. I stayed in a room with 2 queen beds and there was only 1 nightstand between the beds...I wish there were nightstands on both sides of each bed for better convenience.

This hotel was very well maintained and the staff were all very accommodating. We were just passing through but wished there was one of these on our route in Charleston, WV. We will look for these in the future.

They treated us more like 2nd class citizens since we booked...
They treated us more like 2nd class citizens since we booked the room through a 3rd party. We received a room with a smaller bed than what we booked and we were told by the lady at the front desk that since we booked through a 3rd party, we get what we get and that 3rd party bookings are not accurate. I will not stay there again.

This facility used to be a Hampton Inn hotel. It’s been completely renovated and is nice and clean. Hot coffee is available upon check-in, and the breakfast was outstanding.
