Historic downtown has lots of nice areas to walk around - along the waterfront and in town. Plus some great restaurants - Dillons, Wood's Seafood. Plimoth & Patuxet is fantastic to visit if you have an interest in the early colonial history and the history of the Wampanoag. Duxbury was also fun to explore. The town had a good amount to offer. There was historical sight seeing, plenty of shops and restaurants, beach areas, boat outings and more. It was our second time visiting .
It was our second time visiting . We came for the annual parade. Even though it rained and was chilly, we enjoyed the festivities. We even went to the light show at the amusement park in Carver. There’s so Much more to see. Many museums, beaches and historic sites. The neighborhood was beautiful, well manicured lawns and homes. Beautiful place to visit for a few day or longer.
Beautiful place to visit for a few day or longer. Lots to see and do. Free beach access with splash pad and picnic area. All shops are within walking distance. Our children loved their stay and did not want to leave. As a family vacation a highly recommend. People are very friendly, lots of history, and great fun. The Plymouth colony which only a 2.5 miles away was very fun to see. We learned so much history, people dressed up as pilgrims played they part well as they pretended to know nothing about the modern world, but everything about what was going on in the 1600's. Nice hotel, clean, staff was nice, and beds and pillows were comfortable. One note, there was a hot tub in one of the pictures I saw, but not a recent one. It turns out they have become a big liability and the hotel removed it. The external corridor in front of our room was carpeted which meant it was quieter when people walked past. The room was a good size, and so was the bathroom and it was very clean. There were staff!
