Asheville is filled with great artwork and plenty of wonderful places to shop and purchase art. It is also a foodie town and plenty of choices to fit anyone's taste. The history of Asheville is so interesting with the Biltmore tour, a must see. For nature lovers, a beautiful drive on the Blue Ridge Parkway with lunch or dinner at the top of the mountain at the Pisgah Inn,(need reservations) hikers, trails everywhere for all skill levels. Water lovers, rafting, paddling and boating on mountain lakes. And if you are a Beer lover then this is the town for you. Asheville is a jewel and wonderful place to have fun, relax and enjoy good food , drink and Mother Nature.

We did the Urban Art Trail, following the leaflet and it was so much fun. There's masses to see and it was really nice to come across statues and artworks giving some insight into the history of Asheville. The town has lots of independent shops and many architecturally interesting buildings. We stopped for coffee in a great independent bookshop called Malaprop's and later went to the Jack of the Wood pub for a pint and a light supper entertained by the folk music from the musicians who regularly play there, which was wonderful. There were about 12 of them, with guitars, accordion, violins, banjo, ukelele and double bass. I may have seen a cello too. We also visited the art gallery which had some really beautiful pieces and a café right at the top with great views. We thought Asheville was a lovely town and we'd highly recommend visiting, we wished we could have had a few more days

Asheville Biltmore is recovering from the devastation of Hurricane Helene. We wanted to visit & support the community. The local artisans are quite good with unique points of view. Biltmore is mostly back and their are furious construction efforts underway to repair Biltmore Village. Our visit took place when the trees were just starting to turn. The views will be outstanding from Mid-October through Thanksgiving!

I wish I'd planned for longer in Asheville (I was only there 24 hours)--there's a lot to do for a small city! I visited the botanical gardens and River Arts District, shopped, and found good places to eat. River Arts area, where my hotel was, is very walkable.

Asheville has so many things to do - it's a very inclusive arts, crafts and music community with a super cool vibe. It is truly different from anywhere else I've been and after 20+ years of visiting I still discover new things each time. Wonderful craft fairs, music festivals, art and craft galleries, restaurants (many Vegan and Vegetarian too:), entertainment, sooo many nature trails, hiking, biking, state and national forests, small towns, city events, too much to list. Of course the Omni Grove Park Inn and Biltmore estate are not to be missed. And the area could REALLY use the visitors and support after the big storm last year. They really made a comeback but appreciate the business (they are still making up for losses).

I liked the proximity to downtown and many attractions. We rarely needed to drive more than 15m to get to the places we wanted. We loved the space of the one bedroom suite and the pool. Breakfast had a good variety of options when all are available. The hotel was clean and staff were friendly. We will definitely stay again!
