BelgiumI had to cancel a hostel in Panjakent as that property wasn't fully ready for the new season yet so I got recommended to stay in the mountains at Jumaboy Guesthouse. I ended up staying there for 3 nights and I absolutely loved to be in this beautiful quiet rural place after spending more than 10 days in touristic uzbek cities. Beginning of April: lakes aren't well filled yet, but as it's not yet high season I could enjoy the loneliness between the cows and the locals in the beautiful scenery. Muslim is such an amazingly kind and helpful host, always doing his best to make sure guests feel at home. It’s clear how much love and care he puts into improving the guesthouse and its surroundings—step by step. That’s not always easy in such a remote place, where things like power outages can happen, but he and his family are working towards becoming more self-sufficient, which is really inspiring. I would love to go back one day.
