The hotel was warm, friendly welcoming and convenient. The shuttle to and from the airport worked well. The hotel was clean and there were helpful amenities such as tea/ coffee and water in rooms. The restaurant was good value with a varied menu , food was great, served promptly. All staff spoke English, and all were friendly and keen to help. Location was perfect for prompt connections to flights. There are good public transport links into the city too. There is no lift, but this was not an issue as staff helped to carry bags. The airport is not great at all, the staff are not friendly, and the available food is terrible. the food is so overpriced for an airport and does not look fresh. In the Duty Free, the staff are on their phone and do not want to help. The toilets are disgusting and covered in faeces or broken locks. I had a great time with my children in Bucharest.
I had a great time with my children in Bucharest. The bus system helps you get around the city cheaply. Uber is also very affordable. Our highlight was spending the day at the famous Therme Spa, lots to do, fun slides, restaurants, outdoor space and lots of lounge beds. Great locker system with a wristband for all your needs, you then pay at the end. Drinks and desserts are delicious, food is OK. You can catch a shuttle bus from the spa straight to the airport, so we were able to stay at the spa right up to the end of our stay. Location to the main road, Buses, McDonalds, Lidl walking was 15 mins . Convince store in the area not too far. Clean neighbourhood Built up area. Close enough to The Therme Spa,10 minute taxi ride. Can catch uber or bolt around €8-€10 not even . I think because we were 5 people it was a little more so will be less of 3people. Close to airport too. Can catch bus or taxi. The staff went above and beyond for us, serving us drinks after hours when we arrived late and gave us loads of good places to visit. We cane for the therme spa but it was far too busy so we left and went into the old town to soak up some culture. Although it's located in the highway, the rooms we revived were quite even with a slightly opened window. The hotel itself is beautiful - the rooms, the lobby and the restaurant. Spacious rooms with all the necessary things to get you through the night - even the New Testament and the Book of Psalms... We enjoyed 2 Lounge rooms with connecting doors as we requested. It is a 10 minute walk from the airport (But if travelling late I recommend a taxi, cause it’s a main road you walk down). The decor is amazing and the room was really cute. Perfect for a stop off after a late flight. Would definitely stay again if I came to Romania. Also because they offer a free shuttle to the airport every hour. So from this perspective I was very happy. Probably if you want to visit Bucharest this might not be your preferred location.
