The staff was amazing and very helpful. one of the rooms that was meant for us had an issue and it was very quickly resolved. I felt like they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. the location is a 15 min walk to the old part of town. There were a couple of recommended restaurants and bars nearby that were excellent.

This place feels like paradise in an unexpected place! We were going to Sintra for the day and found this lovely property. It is relaxing with a really nice outside covered sitting area, a creek that runs through the property, very nice gardens, chickens (which meant fresh eggs for breakfast), a pool (although we didn't use it, it looked inviting), and much more. Parking is great too. Overall, a fantastic one night stay. We want to go back and spend more time there.

Getting there from Lisbon on the train was easy.

Getting there from Lisbon on the train was easy. It was hilly so prepare yourself with good footwear if you like walking!! Uber was our chosen taxi method. Be mindful that many places/palaces are 'One road up one road down'. On Uber journeys we experienced several different waiting times than those suggested on the app. We enjoyed the hustle, bustle of Sintra old town area itself and the back drops are stunning. We preplanned our 2 night stay by watching several vlogs and you can tailor it to your own likes/needs however, we were left thinking we have to go back which can only be a good thing!!!

It is a lovely area to visit and there is a good choice of places to eat. Using the train to get there from the airport is easy and cheap. I was not there as a tourist myself but to take part in orienteering races, access to the train station was very helpful for getting to my running places.

Two days was sufficient time for me to do the exploring that I had planned to do. Sintra gets very busy during the day but it has compensations, such as great restaurants, and a number of sights to be seen. I recommend visiting. Get up early to avoid the crowds.

We loved Sintra! My husband was to move there. Terrific gardens at all the major attractions. There are lots of tourists, especially at Penna Palace, so it’s a busy place. Late afternoon, the tour buses leave and it’s not as crowded. We uber end everywhere and Ubers cost less than in the states. The mountains are steep but some people (younger than us) were walking them, we felt safe, everyone friendly, most spoke English and we had some great dinners, we want to go back. The ocean is nearby, like just ten minutes or so away.

Sintra is a magical location in the mountains, surrounded by natural beauty and several ancient palaces that are stunning. The area is a 45 minute train ride from Lisbon, and can be a nice day trip, but there's so much to see that you really need 2-3 days there. A photographer's or nature lover's heaven.

Sintra is obviously a main attraction, but it's more magical after the hoardes of tourists leave. Most tourists come only for the day, and the traffic is a nightmare. Sintra has a good bus network, there is no need to join groups that come on those huge autocars that pollute and clog the roads. I strongly suggest you travel INDEPENDENTLY, enjoying this place at leisure. Please travel responsibly, leaving a small footprint. Do your homework, there's plenty of guidebooks to inform you, and use your legs a little more rather than take a car. It's healthier for you and for the planet, and you save some money as well. Have a good trip!

Very nice boutique hotel with exceptionally nice staff. Room was spacious and very nicely decorated. The breakfast is just great with fresh products. The view on the mountain is amazing. You can walk to many places not forgetting that we are in the mountains so always up and down. The property is made to relax and forget about the outside world
