I’ve stayed one week in the wonderful Guacamayo Azul integrating my journeys in the jungle, and seriously, I have no words how amazing this place is! The house is luxurious, huge comfortable main bedroom, fully equipped kitchen where I felt I could cook as if I was back home. The pool is another sort of privilege; calm and safe location, comparing to the rest of Iquitos. Julio, the housekeeper, would help me with absolutely everything I needed - driving me to do buy groceries, help around the house, even accompanying me to explore the local area’s gems so I don’t feel uncomfortable as a solo female traveler. A special thanks to him! The house is massive and would fit a company up to 8 people, but also it’s an incredible stay for a solo person, who seeks quietness and solitude, like in my case. I truly appreciate my time in Guacamayo Azul, and it only leaves me to wonder why it’s not yet fully booked. I wish you that!

We had an amazing stay at Casa Kukama, which is located a bit outside of Iquitos in the small village of Santo Tomas. We loved the authentic Amazon experience we had together with the hosts. Pablo and Lorena were incredibly welcoming and we learned a lot from them. The lodge is very cozy.

It was one of the best places I stayed in. House is spacious, garden wonderful. Everything is made with good tased, clean, comfortable. Gabi makes everyone feels homey and special at the same time. There was some magic in this place! Also, this accommodation is a good value for the price, 5 minutes away from the airport (by tuk tuk). I myself stayed there 6 nights to enjoy special atmosphere and quiet, clean space in the middle of hectic Iquitos. During my stay I worked remotely, meetings included, and it was OK. Just keep in mind that at this place, like in most in Iquitos, internet is not 100% stable. Also, for meeting, I stayed in common space near hot spots. I recommend artists shopping center nearby. You can buy there very original gifts at a good price (much better than in the city center).
