The bedroom and bathroom are really clean as the rest of the house is
The 2 people taking care of that place are really nice

Lovely small town in a spectacular setting by the Buller River, surrounded by high hills.
Good little supermarket and library.
The Lazy Cow has a pizza restaurant.
Excellent Skyline walk with superb views of the town, river and hills.

Friendly & nice staff in shops.
Cool antiques shops to check out.
Lady at museum very nice and knowledgeable about the area, gives good guidance.

Fantastic location, great opportunity to rest, relax and enjoy time with family away from normal hustle and bustle of life. Loved the slower pace and wood burning fire in the evening. Great winter hide-away haven!

What a brilliant place to stay, can't fault it and can't...
What a brilliant place to stay, can't fault it and can't praise it highly enough. The building was beautiful, the room and bed really comfortable and cooking facilities excellent. Phillip and Daphne were really welcoming and helpful and the breakfast early in the morning was superb. I'd highly recommend Murchison Lodge to anyone looking to stay in the area.

Absolutely loved the place.
Absolutely loved the place. The lodge had a great walkway down to the river. Everything was just fabulous from chocolate brownies in the room to friendly people. We played in the Open Murchison golf tournament, which is always well organised and the food yummy. Swimming in the river was a highlight on both days. Great swingbridge, 10km out of town. Fantastic.

Usually we pass through Murchison, but this time we made it a stopover for a night. We loved this place. It is in a very picturesque valley, in a lovely warm microclimate, with kayaking and hiking on the doorstep. The nearby swingbridge and cometline were a must. Great pizza from the Cow Shed! We could easily spend more time exploring the surrounds, with a base of the fabulous Murchison Lodge.

Lovey big room looking out on to the garden, nice to have some colour in the decor as most motels we have stayed in have been quite bland. Everything in the room, small kitchen you would need for a night stop over. Nice selection of toiletries, including hair conditioner and body lotion. Very clean property. Very close to local amenities. Definitely would recommend as a stop over .

Nice size cabins purpose built in beautiful garden. 2 minutes to good selection of shops in small and delightful town of Murchison. Garden kitchen was spacious and adequate though we had to nip into town-BRILLIANT hardware store-and buy a decent frying pan and chopping board

Breakfast was delicious with many home grown and home made choices. Great coffee. Murchison Lodge is set in a lovely quiet location near the Buller River. The hosts, Philip and Daphne are very welcoming and helpful.
