We loved our stay at the cottage, peaceful and very well appointed. it had everything we needed including a lovely bottle of wine to have at dinner. The outdoor space was perfect for relaxing and reading. The barbecue worked like a charm. There was easy access to the bike path. We appreciated having the bikes available and an assortment of sizes. We highly recommend staying here. It would be perfect for a family reunion as there are 4 cottages. We left the morning of the cyclone and feel devastated that this area was so severely affected by the weather event.

We arrived late - it was windy, rainy and dark, and we had 3 very tired kids. But our moods lifted when we opened the sliding door and turned the lights on. What a lovely home - very clean and beautifully furnished - huge television (which I couldn't get to work but my digital natives sorted it for me) - 6 seater dining table, comfy sofas, heatpump. The three bedrooms all had double /queen beds -and really nice linen and towels.. This property had everything we needed - we all felt very much at home and were very grateful to stay here. Extra bonus - off street parking for two cars! Excellent value for money!

Great area and a must visit location with access to great...

Great area and a must visit location with access to great wineries and restaurants. Perfect for an amazing long lunch or two or three, as it was for us :-) - Craggy Range, Black Barn and Mission need to be high on your list so book so as not to be disappointed. The views from Te Mata Peak are not to be missed.

So much to do here and everything is close.

So much to do here and everything is close. Vineyards, restaurants/cafes are very good, Te Mata Peak is great for a short/long walk, The Market on Sunday was lovely and the shops are individually owned so lots of interesting things. Wardini Books is worth a visit. Andreas Hair and beauty was welcoming at short notice. Loved Havelock North

I loved the township, cafes, restaurants and shopping.

I loved the township, cafes, restaurants and shopping. A surprisingly good food scene ( we loved Mary,s)We enjoyed the wineries, especially Craggy Range. Loved that the wineries were so accessible from the hotel by both car and taxi. The views up at Te Mata Peak were stunning.

This is a beautiful area with magnificent homes & properties on acreage. Exploring Cape Kidnappers is magical & a visit to Birdswood cafe, sculpture garden, gallery shop & sweetshop was a joy.

Havelock Nth is an exceptional town with excellent shopping, a good supermarket with superb stock. Wine stores are well stocked with a curated range of wines. There is good boutique shopping, nice cafes and a movie theatre. I'd recommend Birdwood gallery for a visit as well as Hutchesons in Hastings for nice furniture and homewares. Great walks along riverbanks, access to wineries and bike trails. In all, worth a visit. Easy walking and if you are fit, take on Te Mata Peak!

We were there as part of the Holly Hospice Trail.

We were there as part of the Holly Hospice Trail. Fantastic homes and gardens. Enjoyed the township of Havelock North and the generosity of people making their homes available for a charitable event. From Te Mata Peak, great sights on a good day. Climate great, much warmer than more southern parts of NZ. Plenty of eateries, standard, variable. Car needed, maybe GPS.

Excellent location and lovely to experience an old villa. Walking distance to the river and with lovely views of the orchard. We came in winter and really enjoyed the woodburner in the kitchen. Beds were super comfy and the shower pressure was excellent. We enjoyed sitting out on the deck at the table in the sun. Only a short drive into Havelock North township. We would definitely stay again.

Absolutely fabulous! Havelock North is a quaint little place and a lovely place to explore including boutique shops (although a tad expensive). Lots of things to see close by including wineries, chocolate manufacturers ... may need a car. Great bar and restaurant downstairs. Central to everything. Accommodation was worth the expense; staff were friendly and accommodating.

Everything, the hosts were very friendly, the location was great with an beautiful rural view from the hill, the privacy was second to none. The bath on the deck was awesome. My new favourite accommodation in Hawkes Bay!
