Words cannot describe adequately the experience in Britannia and the vision of the owner that goes down to the guests. This is a hotel we will surely remember and try to bring friends to enjoy it. The details make the difference and the ambience of the place is truly unique. We have been to Four Seasons in 3 different cities, but we did not feel the same. As for the breakfast, there is little you can say. Unparalleled. The variety and the quality of the food offered is superb. Lastly, the staff was very polite, helpful and attentive in a simple, nice way. Above all, you get all these at an affordable price. I would rate it 11 if I could. The fact that this hotel is in Trondheim with the magnificent Nidaros Cathedral in less than 5 minutes away, makes it a real must. We will try visiting again in Christmas time.

    Everything is great — both the nature around the city and the city itself are beautiful. My main piece of advice would be to visit Egon Tårnet — a restaurant located in a tower with stunning views of the city and the fjord. The tower slowly rotates about 360° per hour, so you get to see the entire city while you dine. The food is excellent as well. People everywhere speak English, so getting help or service in English is no problem. The only downside is the prices — they can be quite high.

    This is a great city. One of Norway's largest in fact. We took a bike tour and learned about it. The city houses the Norwegian Rock and Roll Hall of fame museum which was fun to check out. We had an AMAZING dinner at Kalas and Canasta. Couldn't recommend any higher. The staff and food was chef's kiss. There is live music around the city and super walkable. We got lucky with the weather. It was roughly 78 and sunny when we were there.

    A bustling and vibrant city, where the friendliness and enthusiasm of the locals is contagious! We were travelling through to the Arctic Circle on motorbikes and this was a much needed hotel stop. I found the city to be easy to navigate both on foot sight seeing and in the bike. Trondheim is a charming, compact city that can be easily explored on foot within a day or two. Highlights include the bustling local market at the Torg and the majestic Nidaros Cathedral. The city boasts a diverse culinary scene, offering everything from Continental to Asian cuisine, with plenty of options for vegan and vegetarian travellers. Well-connected to the rest of Norway, Trondheim is accessible by bus, train, and also features an airport for convenient travel.

    We spent the day walking around Trondheim. A highlight was walk up to Kristiansten Fortress and the beautiful view of the city from the top. Reading about WW2 at the fortress was interesting - I wish there would have been more! We enjoyed going through Nidaros Cathedral and Archbishop's Palace. We walked everywhere but could have easily used the bus or scooters if we had wanted to. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

    Free parking on the property. It seemed very spacious compared to the average hotel room. The shower was great. Kitchen table and chairs were spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well supplied, and the microwave was a nice addition.. Lots of towels, dressing gowns,pillows, a few small tables to put things on, but no luggage racks. The location near the tram was very convenient but not noisy;

    A great hotel that fully lives up to its name and standard. The facilities are brand new, and although the hotel is huge, it still has soul. The breakfast was really luxurious with a very wide and unusual selection. We didn't try the terrace because the weather wasn't good. The rooms are spacious with a nice view and great, comfortable amenities.
