We recently had the pleasure of staying at Villa Fregn, and we can confidently say it was one of the best hotel experiences we've ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything felt perfectly curated and thoughtfully designed for our comfort. The owners, Ellen and Bart, were exceptional hosts. Their warmth and genuine smiles made us feel right at home. They were always eager to recommend activities, making our stay feel personalised in every way. Breakfast and dinner were culinary delights, featuring delicious meals prepared with local ingredients that not only satisfied our palates but also supported local farmers and producers. The focus on ecological practices without sacrificing comfort truly set Villa Fregn apart. Also, we had the best sleep we've ever had in a hotel—so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave! We wholeheartedly recommend this boutique hotel to anyone looking for a unique getaway. We can't wait to return with our friends and family. Villa Fregn is a gem not to be missed, offering everything you could possibly need for a perfect retreat! Thanks again

I like the cosy style of the hotel. Really close to skiing town Trysil, not so far from the boarder with Sweden, but far from loud night clubs. It's a perfect hotel who love skiing and prefer avoiding loud nights.

The location is close to the ski lifts (5 min driving to the car park, near the ski lift T2), the room was big enough to accomodate a couple, also the room was spotless and well-maintained, equipped with a mini fridge. The bed, pillows, and seating areas were comfortable. The Wi-Fi was fast, with excellent connection. The large-screen TV in our room featured an additional option to connect your phone or tablet via Chromecast, so we had access to a wide variety of programs online, allowing us to enjoy our preferred content. That is a massive plus, I would say, for people spending most of the evening in their room (not so many outdoor attractions in Trysil, after nightfall, unfortunately). The breakfast was a buffet style, with something for every taste. It was neatly arranged, and everything was kept clean. It was a great stay and the staff were very friendly. We intend to return at this hotel in the near future.

Such a beautiful cabin in an ideal location! We were there near the beginning of April and were an ideal distance from touristy attractions and the ski resort but also nicely located so as to enjoy peace and quiet in the mountains with our family. Would definitely recommend it to others and hope to return!
