I recently spent four days in Oost-Vlieland and it was a fantastic experience. The accommodation was comfortable, clean, and centrally located, a perfect base for exploring the island. Vlieland is truly a place to unwind. The nature is stunning: wide beaches, peaceful forests, and endless dune trails. Ideal for walking or cycling (tip: rent an e-bike for longer routes!). A good variety of restaurants. A great variety of hotels. Quiet (depending the time of year of course). This time I went mid-Sept. It was perfect. I will so never go back during the summer months. What a perfect place Vlieland is. And this time I found out there's a bus service and it made the visit even better. The buses don't run often but there's a schedule. Lugagges are transported free of charge directly after you arrival and that is very convenient. Do you wish to take a bus then its also possible. We had a nice spacious room with comfortable beds. Breakfast was very nice en plenty of possibilities to chose from.
