If you are interested in history Bergen Op Zoom has plenty to offer. Charming old buildings. Market squares where you can sit have drinks and a meal and take in the surrounding area. Cute little city with a bustling town square. We arrived on a Sunday and there were tons of people enjoying a sunny day. It's a beautiful city center - the side streets were interesting and it was a great place to walk around for a couple of hours. Our family have just moved to live in the area so we had never been previously but were greatly surprised by the variety of restaurants and the shops. Only there for the weekend but will return as soon as we can. Had to cancel our booking 24hrs before due date as both my husband and I tested positive for Covid with several symptoms and our 2 friends were clasified as "case contact". Had a confirmation from the hotel via message service on Booking.com, incl. "price cancelled by property". However, several days later my bank informed me that 198 Euros were taken from our a/c via my card. No invoice/receipt and all messages or even access to messaging service to this hotel disappeared from my client page. Spoke to to the hotel this morning, Was promised a call back in 5 minutes.
