I've stayed at the SAVV three times - once with my boyfriend on vacation and twice by myself on work trips to Penang. Each time was very pleasant. I especially liked the rooms with big windows and views of the sea and boats. The SAVV is a truly quiet oasis in George Town. It's not too near the bars and restaurants that open late so you can get a good night's sleep. What I loved best is the little pool area which is surrounded by big plants and flowers and the "treehouse." I worked from there many afternoons and it was such a nice environment to work from. The staff were friendly and remembered me from my previous stays.

While parking can be challenging, the staff go above and beyond to assist guests. Exceptional Breakfasts: Rotating set menus featuring Chinese, Nyonya and other local food varieties were a delicious highlight of each morning. Outstanding Service: Staff provided excellent recommendations, helped with parking logistics, and even suggested personalized city tours and touristy experiences. Futhermore, the staff proactively offered access to a sister property's swimming facilities - we regrettably didn't have time to take advantage, but appreciated the thoughtful gesture during the hottest month in Malaysia. The style of the outside of the Hotel was welcoming. On entering, it had a clean stylish interior. Very tastefully decorated and sympathetically decorated to the style of the colonial period. The whole place had a beautiful dreamy atmosphere about it. The Staff in every area of the hotel delivered Outstanding Customer Service. They were helpful and eager to help without being overbearing . The outside eating area remained me of being by the pool area, with three or four areas where you could draw the beautiful coordinating curtains for privacy. I did not use the swimming pool myself, but was told the temperature was just right. The breakfast offer was just right to set you up for the day because all around were great places for you to eat other things you might like.

very nicely designed rooms with very friendly staff, providing us lots of tips and recommendations on where to go and visit. They are very helpful and can reach out to them easily via whatsapp for questions. they provide little local snacks each night for us to try. one thing i didn't read properly is that there is no TV in the room, but it was fine. we were watching on ipads and just chill in the room
