Special thanks to Mark and Max to be super friendly. Next time we won’t check anywhere but here. For those who want to rent a car, you shouldn’t deal with untrusted people in air port. Just reach out to Max and she will arrange for you from her friend which is much more cheaper and reliable from the other rental companies.

Very pleasantly surprised by apartment 3. Large living area with fridge/freezer, cooker, microwave, TV, wifi, sofa & dining table. Bedroom 1 with double bed & bedroom 2 with two singles. Shower over bath. Great views over the beach from lounge with plenty of restaurants & bars close by. Had one minor issue with hot water (we accidentally switched it off), so messaged owner. He responded almost immediately & advised how to switch it back on. Excellent bus service to Valetta (35 min for Eur2) with bus stop very close by. Would definitely stay here again

Great location: bus stop, shops, and beach are all just a couple of minutes away from the accommodation. The room is spacious and clean, with a very nice terrace. We stayed for 10 days and had everything we needed in the room and in the kitchen. Our flight was in the evening, and the host was very nice to let us stay in the accommodation well beyond the official check-out time.

I and my family needed the place near the airport to survive the flight cancellation. They made our room ready before official time 12 instead of normal 14. We had to leave next morning very early. Therefore, I don't know about the quality of the breakfast, but, I can tell that they assembled nice "early leaver package" for us. They also organised a cheap eCab taxi to the airport (6,5€) . From ordinary tourist point of view - the Sea was just some bus stops away, so we enjoyed a sandy beach (Il-Bajja s-Sabiha) and about 20C swimming water (in beginning of December) in Marsaxlokk.

    Not your normal seaside holiday resort. The freeport as a back drop can be a bit of a shock but is soon overlooked. The Village is quaint with ample facilities, but not the place for people looking for nightlife. Lovely. Great time had by all our family.

    The town is well situated and easy to access from the airport. Buses are regular, so other parts fo the island are easily accessible. There is a small sandy bay which is great for families. They have life savers, a wheelchair ramp down to the water, water buggy and chair lift for the disabled. There is a wide, modern promenade which includes sporting and exercise facilities, a stage and restaurants dotted around this area. The restaurants hardly offer traditional/typical maltese food (burger, pasta and pizza was the on offer everywhere) and the night life is non existent. The available facilities are not used to their full potentional sadly.

    We live on Gozo and carry Malta Resident ID cards but do truly enjoy visiting Birzebbuga two or three times a year , It is close to the Malta International Airport but has a more Maltese feel that many other tourist destinations on the Island. Excellent restaurants, safe beaches and easy access to Valletta and many spectacular historic locations. However if you are reading this with the intent of visiting the Maltese Islands, do also try to visit our own home Island of Gozo, It is very different from Malta,

    It's a typical little Maltese town.

    It's a typical little Maltese town. We found it interesting watching the cargo ships being loaded. No big supermarkets but lots of little shops. Covo ,Dar is sajjied and District Five restaurants were fine dining but the other restaurants on the beach served excellent quality food.

    Birżebbuġa itself is an ok place, nice walks through the...

    Birżebbuġa itself is an ok place, nice walks through the park and on the beach and ie you like looking at large container ships unloading cargo, (Pretty bay is a free port) it's the place for you . The only thing I would recommend about Birżebbuġa the warm water of the beach (the beach is full of cigarette buttes and litter) and the public bus leaving Birżebbuġa (it's only 2.50 euro anywhere and you can use the same ticket within 2 hours on any public bus) You may enjoy Birżebbuġa because it has a beach there aren't many sandy beaches in Malta. I do not give Pretty Bay apartments as good a rating as Booking.com it's a lot worse.

    The whole island of Malta is not that big, so it doesn't realy matter in which part of island you are located. Birżebbuga is less crowded with tourists and offers long walk along the coast. It has two nice sandy beaches with clear water. There is also a playground on the Pretty bay beach.

    We had a spacious room with plenty of storage space for our stuff (wardrobes, drawers). Room was cleaned every day to a high standard (even when we didn't request cleaning). Bed was comfortable. Staff were all friendly and professional. Breakfast was tasty and they had a great selection. Location is great, nice view from the hotel (sea view room) and numerous shops and restaurants nearby.

    Amazing place with the best location! it’s a little bit far from the centre of Malta, but buses and taxi are available (bus stop - 2 min) everything that you would like to find is behind the door ☺️. Apartment is so pretty! if you would like to be in the heart of night life you should not stay in Birzebbuga. But for us it was perfect! Also you should understand it’s not 5* hotel.

    Lovely room with lovely views! Perfect location on the beach, a 20 minute drive into Valletta. The area of the hotel is quiet but still has lots of food places near by. Staff were lovely and helpful - the lady at breakfast in particular went above and beyond. Great value for money.
