The owner and her family are such warm people that made us feel truly welcome. The food at the hotel was great! The hotel itself was close to the park, and had a very zen feel. The hotel has only been open for 3 months so everything was brand new. We booked a safari with the hotel and this was great as well, with an amazing breakfast to go. We would recommend it to everyone!

We had a wonderful time at Ceylon Wilpattu Safaris and lodging! The team are all so friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we had the best time. The rooms were beautiful and the food was delicious!! The buffet was so great - all local home made dishes. We had two amazing days on safari which was arranged by the hotel - the food they packed for our trip was also great. To top it all off - I was celebrating my birthday while staying and the team even arranged a surprise cake for me! Thanks so much!!

This is quite simply an exceptional hotel, made so not only by our beautiful room and the surroundings, but by Mark and the team of people who made our stay so special. This is one we will always remember for being unique and idylic. Our kayak on the lake with Ravi was fantastic and Ravi's knowledge about the wildlife was exceptional. The whole team were there at 4.30am to ensure we had everything we could possibly ask for before our early morning safari. I can not praise our stay highly enough and we would have loved to have stayed for longer. Thank you Mark and everyone who made our stay so very perfect.

I had an incredible stay at Tribe Wilpattu Eco Lodge and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Wilpattu National Park! The lodge is in a perfect location, just a short drive from the park entrance, making it super convenient for early morning safaris. A stay at Kurumba is a lovely, relaxed way to see Wilpattu. Kurumba has just 2 comfortable lodges with a beautiful view over the rice fields. The terrace has a table and chairs where you get your meals. The food is homemade and delicious and the beer cold. We had Sri Lankan breakfast and the lunch the lodge packed for our safari was a lovely curry. The evening meal was delicious too. The family is so kind and you feel very well looked after. They booked our safari, which was fantastic and we saw 2 leopards, elephants and a sloth bear as well as many more birds and animals. I'd recommend the village walk which the lovely sons took us on. We picked fruit and learned lots about the countryside. Also, book a night safari with the lodge. We had an amazing night and the whole family came with us in the jeep. They were great at spotting animals and the driver got us really close. We saw civits, fishing cats, a jackal, jungle cat and mouse deer. Overall, our stay was the highlight of our holiday.

This place is all about it's people. Roshan and his family go above and beyond to make your stay special. The food, all locally sourced and home made, is an experience in itself. Roshan also arranged the Safari for us, with a very experienced driver. Sandmal, our driver is very good at spotting animals. We saw leopards, elephants, sloth bears, and many other animals and birds during our full day Safari. Do take a quick walk down to the secret tranquil lake for an amazing sunset view.
