Hemantha & Lalith were just great hosts! They have really looked after me and were making sure I have a comfortable stay. As a solo female traveller I felt really safe and they were a great company as well. The location is great (out of town), quiet and relaxing, I have spotted monkeys and squirells roaming around, lot of birds. The facilities were clean, the tent as well. Make sure you do kayak in the afternoon for sunset it is just beautiful and worth the money! Mr. Lasantha, the manager has also made sure I have everything I need and arranged my dinner delivery to the camp, highly appreciated! Only the pillows and towels need some refreshing.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Cape House, and it was a truly fantastic experience. The service was exceptional, and our stay was nothing short of perfect. This hotel is simply amazing. It's surrounded by rice fields, mountains, and even has a small waterfall flowing right through the resort – the whole place is stunning and full of peaceful energy. We had a room right by the pool and the mini waterfall. Normally, my husband and I find it hard to really relax, but here we could truly unwind – lying in the hammock, floating in the pool, or just enjoying the view from the lounge. The hotel team was incredibly friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond. They took us on a Jeep tour to explore the area and even arranged a private car with a driver for our onward journey. The food was absolutely delicious – we especially recommend the Sri Lankan breakfast! A place to relax, recharge, and enjoy nature. Highly recommended!

We stayed one night at the Backyard Balangoda in the middle of tea plantations. We had our own cabin which was very cozy, clean and modernly equipped. We watched the sunrise on the cabin’s balcony offering a marvellous view over the mountains and tea estates. Dinner and breakfast were delicious and really tasty. The service was just oustanding. The owner is an amazing person and really helpful. We really loved staying at this place and can only recommend visiting when being in Sri Lanka. Big thumps up!

Such a wonderful place. It gives you a really authentic Sri Lankan experience - although you are staying in a nice room, you feel like you're in nature and at the same time, you're staying with family in a small village, taking part in their every day life. The village walking tour is highly recommended! We learned so much about the country just from that one activity alone. The staff are all wonderful, and you won't want to leave!

Beautifully situated, among the jungle and a garden embedded in it. We arrived quite late, but despite this they waited for us and offered us dinner! The caretaker of the facility is a very nice gentleman who cares a lot about the well-being of his guests. The guesthouse is decorated in a uniform style that matches the surroundings. Every detail is thought out. The rooms are spotlessly clean, always with a view of the jungle (some, like ours, also have a balcony). In the morning we had a delicious breakfast - fruit and a chosen form of egg. It was a sufficient portion for us. In addition, coffee / tea / juice. It was wonderful for us to wake up in such surroundings and start the day like this. Although the monkeys jumped on the roof of our building, it was an additional attraction for us. I would like to visit such places more often. Hidden gems with excellent service.
