The host and his family are exceptionally friendly, helpful and extremely hospitable. The location is perfect for anyone arriving from the airport heading inland, since it is close to the railroad (without being close enough to hear it). The town is the perfect place to acclimatise to Sri Lankan life and heat, and gives you a unique opportunity to explore village life off the beaten track. The rooms have everything you need and the breakfast is overwhelmingly delicious. All in all, we would recommend going here straight from the airport, rather crowded and noisy Colombo

One of our favourite places in Sri Lanka. On the road to Kandy lies a perfect little place with great facilities. The food is amazing (we also got some extra, fresh jackfruit during the afternoon), the staff is very friendly, the bed is great, shower lovely, the Wifi quick, communication swift, and it's affordable. Incredible place, one of the nicest we stayed in Sri Lanka and it was just meant to be a stopover. Very comfortable room. Great common area and pool. River was really nice to swim in too. The best was the warm welcome from Lakshan and getting to chat with him. He is a great host and very good cook too! Would definitely recommend staying and eating there. Food was very reasonable prices and very good quality .
