One of the best stays of our 2 month trip in Sri Lanka! Best value for money. The room was spacious and clean, great shower with hot water, and breakfast could be enjoyed on the little veranda every morning. The bed was sooooo comfortable!! Location is a bit out of town which for us was ideal, since we enjoy going on walks and exploring our surroundings. The hosts were incredibly nice and attentive, and helped us to rent a scooter, and took us in and out of town when we needed. Sigiriya was just a short ~30min scooter ride away, Dambulla cave temple is just around the corner. For us this was the perfect end to our trip in Sri Lanka, thank you!!

A clean modern hotel with a huge room, quality fixtures and fittings, fully equipped with balcony, comfortable bed and an actual bath! The breakfast was massive, with a choice of either Sri Lankan or eggs, sausage and pancakes, along with fruit and toast. The hotel has a proper restaurant (unlike others that claim to) and we ate here one night. The food was delicious and plentiful, beer is available. The family are very happy and helpful, arranging tuk tuks and giving advice. Dambulla is a town without much to attract tourists, except the impressive cave temples and the international cricket stadium. The hotel is in perfect location for both by tuk tuk. Our visit coincided with an international match and the hotel is actually within walking distance of the stadium, about half an hour flat walk.

I had a wonderful stay at this B&B! The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the very beginning, making me feel right at home. The place was spotless, beautifully maintained, and very comfortable. Plus, the location couldn’t be better – just a short walk from the city center, perfect for exploring everything without needing transportation. Highly recommended!

The room was large, clean, and comfortable. It had strong water pressure with hot water, and great air-con. It says ‘Eric~South Korea’ I guess because I’m here now. I’m from California and I’ve traveled 126 countries. I was very sick when I arrived at the hotel. I slept long time. When I woke up, I came out and the first thing they did was offer to bring breakfast at 11:30am on several plates. That never happened to me in Cal., any other state in my country, and no other time in these other countries, except this place. When was the last time you were offered the complimentary breakfast at 11:30am?!

Everything was incredible, the best place in all Sri Lanka. The family is really kind, and really helpful. They offered us the free transfer from and to the bus station. Room super clean and super new. Bed really comfy. Breakfast and lunch really delicious for really cheap price. Such a dream.

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from...

We chose not to climb Sigiriya (having just recovered from Adam's Peak!) but instead chose the much shorter Pidurangala which afforded a fabulous view of Sigiriya. Highly recommended. A visit to the Bawa hotel, Heritance Kandalama, is well worth it as an insight into the brilliant architectural mind of Geoffrey Bawa.

Dambulla is an excellent base for exploring Kandy, Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa and Sigiriya. We stayed there for 4 Nights and could cover the heritage sites easily. Dambulla Caves are a must-see and so is Sigiriya (just 16 Kms. away). Anuradhapura and Polonnaruwa are around an hours drive but Dambulla is much well-connected and less touristy.

I loved everything they have amazing vibe, nothing was to much trouble . All staff kind and helpful. Dambulla is quiet but has local shops, cafes Pizza Hut, great small restaurant a few miles from Evergreen serving very good food. It's run by the people who run Evergreen. So recommended by me.. Anything you want to do or go and see will be arranged for you Tuk Tuk guy is a staff member . If you need car/driver it will be arranged.

Eden grand boasts huge rooms, friendly family run business, great breakfast. A new hotel only opened in the past year and has great potential. Owner was friendly and accommodating, also provided transport to our next location. It is a little bit of a walk outside the main area in Dambulla but perfect for a short stay. Would recommend better wifi and some lighting along the walk up to the hotel if possible but otherwise we enjoyed our stay!

Well situated hotel (just off of Dambulla main street) with good access to transport, and plenty of close by restaurants. Really lovely room (exactly as the photos). Breakfast was amazing, plenty of really good food (paalappam, dosa, omelette, pancakes, toast, fruits). The owner's husband is a taxi driver so can take you to nearby Sigiriya/Pidurangala.

The Green Edge is set in a beautiful location on the outskirts of Dambulla - the local countryside is gorgeous and we really enjoyed cycling around on the bikes provided by the hotel. Sri was an absolutely fantastic host and made all of our arrangements for travel - nothing was too much trouble and we felt really at home.

Hotel was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We did not want to stay near the very touristy area in Sigiriya with western cafes so staying in Dambulla was a more authentic Sri Lankan experience. I would recommend the Gold Crown Residence.
