We visited Horton Plains and were looking for a place that felt safe, peaceful, and like home — and Tea Sprig Villa Boralanda was the perfect find! This is one of the newest and safest villas in the area, and from the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. We stayed for 2 nights, and what made this place even more special is that we were their very first guests — what an honor! 🙏 The family running the villa is super friendly, warm, and caring. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and made with so much love. The clean fresh air, hot water, and beautiful surroundings made us feel like we were in heaven. This place is quiet, clean, and perfect for anyone looking to relax and recharge. We’re so grateful for the hospitality and unforgettable experience. We will definitely come again. What a absolute gem of a place hidden in the Jungle, the building is elegant and and as soon as you arrive you are met by the most professional, smiling, warm hosts we have had on our entire trip. Upon arriving we felt totally relaxed as our hosts arrived with umbrellas and took our luggage, when inside the property we were given a warm towel and our stay was explained to us by Eranda, his warm and kind demeanour made us feel like we were at home. The property only has 2 rooms in the main house and this means you are very very well looked after. Our main host was Charminder who was an absolute delight to have met, he was so professional, caring and nothing was too much for him, he makes amazing speciality cocktails and accommodated our ask for a takeaway lunch as we were hiking the next day, this came in a sustainable box and was freshly cooked food, that was still warm when we ate it some 5 hours later. Eranda knows everything about wildlife, in particular snakes and birds, on our hike we encountered 2 snakes and with photos Eranda explained that both were not poisonous and then went on to teach us what features poisonous snakes have so we left having learnt potentially life saving information. I can not recommend The Capoe House and the team enough, this was our best stay of our trip and would return in a heartbeat.

This b&b is managed by Dilshan and gentle Piyumi and their family. They manage the place with charme and love and you feel to be home as soon as you step inside. They are ready to offer suggestions for sightseeing with a local expert. I was amazed seeing a few European customers that keep coming back to the Guest House. When I left I realized why. The room we had was spacious and had a terrace with view. Topically Sri Lankian style decorated. A large bathroom with shower and morning breakfast with local traditional food. WiFi was available and good. Do not expect luxury’s, but attention and love is guaranteed.

I recently stayed at greenmoret agri tourism home stay in Bandarawela, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. The hotel is located in a peaceful area with breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, making it a perfect getaway for those looking to relax in nature. The hotel is situated in a great spot, with easy access to nearby attractions like Mahamewnawa, Ohiya entrance for Horton plains, World's end, Bomburu ella, Ella town, Rawana ella, Adisham bangalow Haputhale, Hakgala botanical garden. It’s an ideal location for anyone looking to explore the area or simply enjoy the serenity of Bandarawela. Highly recommended Greenmoret Agri Tourism Home Stay.

The staff were beautiful people, very helpful and accommodating. The views are splendid. The FOOD IS THE BEST PART. Amazing buffets, im usually not a fan of buffet, but they were real good. They spoil you rotten. I felt like being within the property only instead of going out.

We loved our stay at Leisure Mount View. We booked 3 nights but stayed 4 as there was so much to do in the area and the hotel was fabulous. THE FOOD: We ate 3 dinners and 4 breakfasts at the hotel. The buffet dinner was delicious and offered more choice than anywhere else we've been in Sri Lanka. We also ordered from the menu one evening and the chicken biriyani was our favourite! The breakfast buffet was huge. On order were hoppers, toast with butter and jam, dahl, various sweet cakes, coconut string hoppers, as well as a lovely selection of fruit, fresh juices and tea/coffee. We were also offered eggs cooked however we liked. THE VIEW: Our big bedroom overlooked the incredible view of tea plantation fields and mountains. Each morning we opened the curtains and watched the sunrise. Beautiful. THE HOSPITALITY: Hashan and his team couldn't have done more for us. A printed folder, which included various local activities, including hikes, attractions (e.g Lipton Seat), massages, and a cooking class, was available at the reception to help plan our itinerary. We did the cooking class with Hashan's aunty and we loved it. We also enjoyed our chats with Hashan who shared lots of information about Sri Lankan life, culture and food. We were made to feel like we were more like old friends and not hotel guests.

Mahinda and Muthu went out of their way to make our stay very enjoyable. The bed's matress was by far the most comfy we slept on during our trip in Sri Lanka. The lunch and dinner they prepared was delicious. Ohiya makes for the perfect base to visit the Horton's Plain NP. We wish we could have stayed more in this splendid B&B!
