Super friendly and helpful staff. They go out of their way to make sure everything runs smoothly. We asked if the room could be made a bit darker, and they sorted it without any hassle. The pool is great. We used it every day. The co-working area is solid too. Fast WiFi, plenty of space, and a good setup to get work done. Location is perfect. Would definitely stay here again.

Everything was truly excellent. The aesthetics of the resort are absolutely beautiful and calming, the rooms are nicely decorated and the bathroom is really spacious and clean. The bed slept super comfortable. Breakfast was truly delicious, coffee great too. Really everything was brilliant. Felt totally at ease staying at this resort. Wish we could stay longer!

we loved everything from start to finish. exceptional staff, very caring and great customer service in a very unique and authentic way. also the food was great. we received an upgrade to the villa at the lakeside which was the cherry on the top. the place is situated right at the lake in the middle of lush green. an incredible place and a perfect place to unwind! thank u for having us

Great location, great rooms, and an amazing view from the balcony just across from the ocean. Hashan and the staff at Hotel Sanmark were such great people and were inctedibly helpful all the way from when I landed in Sri Lanka to when I left, organising airport pick up and drop off, scooter rental, and even a home-cooked meal. We had an incredible stay at Sola Hotel – it was our second stop in Sri Lanka, and we liked it so much that we decided to stay an extra night! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The food was exquisite, thanks to the amazing chef, and the cocktails were absolutely incredible, thanks to Wiraj. The manager also made our stay extra special with his warm attention. The design of the hotel and the surrounding landscape are stunning, and taking a shower there felt like a real luxury. A huge thank you to the whole team!

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or...

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

Definitely a quieter side of Sri Lanka, though its picking up and the nice part is if you have transport you can go visit the other beaches which are all in the same line and about 20-30 minutes distance within each other. There's a lot to do in terms if shopping some knick knacks, enjoying the food and some drinks as well. You just need to ask the locals where they go and what they like and you're bound to have a memorable time.

The resort has its own beach. It is conveniently located in Ahangama not far from some of the best restaurants/bars/cafes (but note that everything closes at 10pm). The staff, like most people of Sri Lanka, is wonderful (smiling, easy going, and helpful). If you ride, you can rent a scooter at a place nearby and explore other beaches and places around. If you book a day before you can have yoga with a very nice instructor overlooking the sea.

Very clean rooms and property, super friendly and helpful staff! Great breakfast - Sri Lankan or International offered with fruits, coffee & tea. Very quiet and peaceful location, a short walk to a quiet beach. Great wifi. The pool area is also very well maintained. We have extended our stay and I would recommend this property to anyone. Super reasonable prices for the facilities!

Finally, Bali luxury in Sri Lanka! A super-nice villa complex where every element is to a super high standard. We only stayed one night but have booked again for our way back. The guys are also super helpful if you need assistance organising surf sessions or restaurant recommendations.

Nipun and Mama are so lovely, we stayed with them a couple of times, would recommend! And the home cooked Sri Lankan food was some of the best we had! Walking distance to a nice swim spot and 5 mins walk to gas stations for surfing, can also rent a scooter from them, easy livin ☺️✌️

Right in a lovely beach with sun loungers under the trees. Very helpful waiter at breakfast (on day one I asked what the Sri Lankan breakfast option was. There wasn’t one so on day two he organised one for me without my asking). Lifeguard very attentive.
