Our boat was broken and stopped, so we had to sleep on the boat during the night. The Mekong riverside lodge stuff kindly prepred breakfest for us just before we have changed the boat. Beautiful property perched on the hillside over the river. Gorgeous rooms with amazing views. Staff were great and opened up the pool bar at sunset just for me, and even remembered it was my birthday and made me a special cake. They also made me a box lunch to take on the boat the next day. It's expensive for the area, but this is definitely the place to stay in Pakbeng! Thank you!

The location is amazing with stunning views over & down the Mekong. The pool area is lovely & the staff garden is beautiful. The rooms are very comfortable. Meals were good. We liked the philosophy of the lodge. Seeing elephants at the sanctuary opposite the lodge bathing in the Mekong during the day was a bonus! We liked it so much we extended our stay.

Walking distance from the pier, a nice man was there to check us in. Clean and comfortable room with small terrace. We booked breakfast and a sandwich for the day after, it was fine.
