Love this place and this lovely family! For sure we will be coming back! If you want to have a great experience outside Muong Ngoy (a place to goafter this lovely guesthouse Suan Phao)…. Ask Mr Joy to arrange to stay with mr Kee in Huay Bo village. Really a great experience for a night. You can walk to the village or Mr Kee can pick you up! A must go! After that: returning to Suan Phao is so great!

This place was beautiful, clean and an amazing location. The views were amazing, and the rooms were big and comfy. The staff were really helpful and friendly, and the breakfast was great too. We loved that we could hire kayaks from them as well. We would definitely stay again.

Beautiful huge villa/room with ensuite bathroom. Fabulous view from private balcony. You cannot really be "out of town" in this tiny village but it was probably one or the furthest guesthouses from the boat dock (5 minute stroll, if that). Everything you need food wise is within that 5 minute stroll! Owners speak excellent English and will meet you as you come off the boat.

The view and the beds were fantastic- Muang Ngoi is a perfect place to spend some time in comparison to Nong Khiaw- and this is a great option if you want to book in advance. The host is lovely and very informative, their cafe in the Main Street also has great coffee.

Perfect stay. We booked 2 nights at Amanda riverside. Room very clean, hot shower, wifi. The view from the room is beautiful, view on Nam Ou river and mountains. Staff friendly. Very good money/value. I highly recommend
