This property is absolutely stunning and pictures do not do it justice! The view is so incredible at all hours of the day and it is only a short walk from the station which was such a relief, especially when carrying heavy suitcases uphill on cobbled roads. It had all the facilities we needed including hairdryer, an adapter, USB ports as well as kitchen facilities. Everything was very new, well kept and very clean which made the stay even more pleasant. Enrico was helpful throughout the stay and was very easily reachable through WhatsApp. His shop is only 20 meters away from the property and is well worth a visit for some delicious gourmet gifts as well as any snacks/drinks you need during your stay. Shops and restaurants were a quick 9 minute walk from the property as well as the Villa Monastero which is well worth a visit for the scenic views. The ferry port was also only a few minutes away with easy access to Bellagio and Mennagio. Overall, a fantastic trip and very accessible for those who don’t have a car.

The Apartment is really nice, clean, well kept and looked after. Host really nice and accomodating he let us leave our luggage. Location very good literally one minute walk to the train station. Basic supermarket a few minutes walk away. Lakeside and ferry 5 minutes walk. Great base to explore Lake Como. Restaurants, bars and takeaways all in walking distance. Great to have outside space after a busy day. Varenna and Lake Como particularly nice early in a morning and on an evening. My advice if you are visiting in August get up and early before people arrive in large numbers via train from Milan.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful apartment! Everything was spotless and well maintained, with fresh, clean bedding that made us feel right at home. The view from the apartment is absolutely stunning, and the location couldn’t be better - just a short walk to local bakeries, shops, and everything you might need. The replacement bus service was quick and hassle free, making getting around very easy. Carlota is a fantastic host, friendly, responsive, and always ready with the information we needed. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Caza Fabrizia!

This was a great place to stay with breath taking views over the lake and to the backdrop mountains. The apartment was spacious and stylish. It was located outside the busy area of Varenna, with easy access to off road tracks, so a perfect place to be.The Fiumelatte train station was a short walk away.

Varenna is a good spot to base yourself when coming to Lake...

Varenna is a good spot to base yourself when coming to Lake Como. From here you can visit all the other towns, like Bellagio and Menaggio etc. Easy to get into via Ferry or Train. Nice size town, though it is becoming very crowded.

A review of Varenna requires a disclosure of the overall trip strategy. We stayed in Varenna knowing that we would take trips across the lake to the closest sites of interest. This was a stop on our way to Venice. It was a great introduction to the area. A longer stay would likely need take into consideration other activities and specific areas of interest.

We stayed at the Varrena house for three nights.

We stayed at the Varrena house for three nights. The location was perfect. We could walk to everywhere. We enjoyed the beautiful sunset and villas nearby. We party view of the lake was very beautiful. This unit has two bedrooms which are clean and comfortable. The host was very responsive and helpful. They helped us get a car service to pick us up and drop us off at Milan with very reasonable pricing. We requested for extra soap and laundry detergent and toilet paper. They immediately sent us the items we requested.

Lovely town. the people were very friendly.

Lovely town. the people were very friendly. We needed the Pharmacia for a few family members and they were fantastic. The restaurants were clean and food was good. The walkways down to the waterfront need to have more railings. The ferry boat was a fun adventure. The church was beautiful. I miss the church bells already:)

Extremely beautiful village very clean, even in middle of July, it did not feel overcrowded, easy walk to all attractions, Villa Monastero gardens is a must. Enjoyed, 4hrs in Billagio for sightseeing and shopping although very crowded. Side trip via bus to the gorge in Bellano was a highlight. Note: This was our 60th wedding anniv.

Varenna was extremely safe, beautiful and not too crowded...

Lovely friendly hotel and brilliant restaurant next door. Owners were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fab, and the room was large, airy and comfortable (and air conditioned ) Restaurant is just round the corner and one of the best in Varenna.
