An Italian Masterpiece

Best-known for the stunning Duomo, Florence is full of amazing buildings and its historic center. The Ponte Vecchio, a 14th-century bridge holding a multitude of shops on its edges is a stunning example and provides a truly unforgettable view.

Dig into more of the city’s historical past at the Basilica of Santa Croce, a Franciscan church full of great artwork and the burial place of Italian greats: Michelangelo and Galileo. The Uffizi Gallery is one of the world’s finest art museums and the Pitti Palace is not far behind.

Florence is central to many places, easy to access with public transport and a variety of things to see and do. A little disappointing with the tourists tax, makes everything just that more expensive .

This was our second time visiting Florence and it remains a beautiful city. The last time we visited was in 2011 and the increase in the number of tourists was a bit surprising. It is close to being overcrowded

An amazing city with walkable sights and food.

An amazing city with walkable sights and food. Bring comfortable shoes as the cobblestone streets are a challenge. Shopping is everywhere! Be ready to bargain and bring cash for the best deal. Visit Trattoria ZaZa for an amazing meal. Be ready to fight the crowds as there are people everywhere!

Florence is History, beauty like no other city and lovely people. The Medici family started building the beauty that remains today for the world to see. I enjoyed the Dante Museum that I had not visited in the past. As the father of the Italian Language it was a great exhibit.

My favorite city in the world (tho I've not been to them all). I walk 20,000 steps a day when I'm there. The architecture, the food, the Chianti, the basilicas, the museums, (I bought the Firenze Card on my last trip. I recommend it). . . I hang out at Mercato Centrale, Piazza Del Duomo, Piazza Michelangelo and Signoria. I've been to Florence nine times. Can't wait to go back!

I was surprised by how great this hotel was for the price. The location is amazing — right in the historic center near Ponte Vecchio and just a short walk to the Duomo, but still peaceful. The room was way more spacious than I expected — rare for Italy! Best of all, the hotel is pet-friendly, which is hard to find in Florence’s city center. The staff were super friendly and really helpful, making the whole stay easy and enjoyable. Breakfast was good with a nice selection. Great value for money — I’ll definitely stay here again!

We chose this hotel for it's location away from the historic center of Florence and for the facilities. It was a great decision. The staff were all extremely polite and helpful and the facility lived up to the pictures (for a change!) which included a wonderful breakfast each morning. 20 minutes walk to the Florence's main attractions, was a lovely way to start each day. Overall a wonderful week in Florence and our best holiday in Italy to date.

The location of this hotel is excellent. The Duomo is two minutes away. The room is quite spacious and the bathroom is very modern with rituals products. It was definitely the nicest room we had during our week stay in Italy. The staff were very nice and helpful, giving us recommendations for restaurants to try. They stored our bags while we explored Florence before our train.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, they even upgraded us to a larger room when I asked for more space. The room was old but beautiful, and the hotel’s location was excellent. It also seems that hotel standards in Florence, and perhaps in Italy in general, are a bit lower compared to other European countries, so it’s good to keep that in mind when booking.
