Fantastic property with a gorgeous view. Clean and well equipped. Very cozy and we had a lovely stay here. The location was fantastic for the golden circle and we enjoyed a dip in the hot tub overlooking the views.

Haukadur was easy to get around and the geyser is very regular and worth seeing. No long walks available at the site. Visitors centre was okay although light on info as to the geology of the site and how geysers work. Good cafeteria.

I only stayed for one night and I didn't get to use the kitchen but I could have stayed longer. Lovely kitchen and shared space with a fabulous view across the fields and to the Geyser so close. A lot of care and thought has been put into the guesthouses layout and decor. Quirky and beautiful.

The hosts are very friendly and attentive. They give you a quick tour and explain all the necessities as you arrive. Hotel is very neat, clean and organized. Looks like an old barn made into something so cozy! The view and the nature is amazing! Domestic animals are the point of attraction for people who are into animals, kids would definitely love it.

It is the perfect place to see the northern lights I wouldn’t go anywhere else for this purpose and the yurts are lovely, warm and cosy. Beata is the best person they have on their staff and their neighbours which also have a beautiful hotel with horse riding are so lovely and supportive.

We got a free upgrade to the main Hotel Geysir so this review is really for that. Location is fantastic- just across the road from the geothermal area which gives you the opportunity to see it when the crowds are smaller in the evening. Fantastic and varied breakfast.

The location is a good base for travellers doing the golden circle. They offer northern lights alert. Though we weren’t able to see it in our stay, I imagine the hotel would be a perfect place to see the northern lights.
