The quiet and cosy cabin, sitting in the warm cabin in the serene forests was just magical. As it was snowing heavily at Akureyri in the middle of March, we decided to spend most of our day here. Enjoyed the hot tub in the forest.

This cabin was pure magic. Tucked away in peaceful nature, it felt like stepping into a cozy Icelandic dream. Our best stay in Iceland. The place is gorgeous, both location, directly on the fjord, and the guesthouse itself. The shared kitchen/ dining room is comfortable and welcoming, with large windows overlooking the sea. The rooms are clean and nice, with good breakfast. Above all Inoglfur's great hospitality, and the knowledge and conversations, which gives you insight about Iceland.

It was the best and most welcoming house we have been in Iceland. We really felt at home. The furniture and design of the house are really nice, the house was clean and the kitchen had everything needed to prepare our dinner, even some Food and services to share for all guests (not to be given for granted). You can litterally cook and relax on the sofa, watching the ocean from the windows... big garden to enjoy the sun. Perfect and easy check in with instructions.

A lovely location outside Akureyri (12 minutes or so) set on the side of the fjord with great views of the surrounding mountains and good for northern lights if they are kind enough to show. Our bedrooms were in a separate building to the main building, were clean and comfortable with comfy beds and good showers. Breakfast was plentiful and with a good variety of things to choose from. There is a nice lounge area and a great walk down to the water’s edge. The staff couldn’t have been kinder, helping us out when one of our group was not well.

Coming from Taiwan, I love remote small towns. There aren't many people here, and they're so friendly. We cooked our own meals, and it felt like we were living here. It was wonderful. The beer baths were a two-minute walk away, which was a wonderful experience. At night, we even saw the Northern Lights from our chairs next to the hotel! If you like a quiet, light-free spot, this is a great choice! I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. :)
