It is a good city for tourism. but the infrastructure lacks sufficiency. Very few good 3 star hotels, and Restaurants. hence they are expensive and not easily available. Be careful, if you are planning for your own vehicle, because the traffic here is hardly called regulated. very haphazard, and risky. Still it is more than worth visiting Hospet, because of Hampi and T B Dam & Park, Pampa Vana etc as a tourist. Great place to stay.
Great place to stay. Tungabadra Dam is a great place to visit in Hospet. You have multiple view points of the dam, backwaters, gates. Lovely park near the dam to enjoy your evening. Light show is good. Good time to visit during monsoon when the dam gates are open. It is a magnificiant view to see the water rushing out of the dam. World famous heritage Site Hampi is close to Hospet. Hampi is a place of architecutural wonder and the sculputres, temples, ruins, palace area is a must see place. You need at least 2 days to see these wondering artistic ruins. Hapi has a rich heritage and grand history. Do take guide services so that you can get to know the place better.
