an ideal place to stay for those who prefer a hotel in the city center, where the pulse of the city is, rather than in the tourist district. very convenient, just opposite the central bus station, with plenty of little restaurants nearby. large bedrooms, nice bathrooms and a family atmosphere. The staff are friendly. Eli the receptionist alone would deserve a 6 star rating !

Year-round Sun in Playful Eilat

Israel’s tiny speck of Red Sea is squeezed between Eqypt (Taba) on one side and Jordan (Aqaba) on the other side. Eilat is a resort city for glamorous people lying on the beach and scuba divers under the sea who come together for superb sunsets and long, warm summer nights.

Many tourists use this 7 km stretch of land as a passage to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt or onwards to Petra in Jordan. However, if you stay, this glitzy destination provides relaxation all year round at its numerous luxury hotels and beaches. Coral Beach is the dive centre headquarters with its spectacular coral reefs.

The Tayelet promenade is a place to stroll and search for the perfect restaurant or boutique shop. The southern part of the magnificent Negev Desert can be accessed from Eilat by 4WD tours or bus. This Bedouin territory includes the Great Rift Valley and the Eilat Mountains Nature Reserve.

The sparkling Gulf of Aqaba provides the perfect backdrop for local Israelis and international tourists to party into the wee hours. Festivals such as Red Sea Jazz and Red City during summer help to fuel the busy beach activities.

There are many seaside resorts and chain hotels on Booking.com. Backpackers and families are also provided with ample choices.

Eilat is simply a wonderful destination.

Eilat is simply a wonderful destination. On the way, we stopped for a stunning viewpoint at Mitzpe Ramon – a breathtaking stop that perfectly set the tone for what was to come. Coral Beach is an amazing spot for snorkeling – colorful reefs and plenty of fish. We did an introductory dive with Deep Siam Diving School, and it was absolutely worth it. Our instructor, Yaara, was very professional, patient, and taught us a lot about marine life. The Underwater Observatory complemented the diving experience, giving us even more fascinating perspectives on the Red Sea’s underwater world. Our trip to Timna Park was unforgettable – the landscapes, history, and colors are simply breathtaking. My guest from the U.S., visiting there for the first time, was impressed and enjoyed it beyond words. We drove into the park and could easily visit several highlights without long hikes: the Mushroom, Solomon’s Pillars, the Mines, and the Arches. For hiking lovers – don’t miss the beautiful canyons, and with a guide you can even go further into the Eilat mountains. We are already planning to return with the whole family from the U.S. in January, when it’s a bit cooler – because in Eilat the experiences always warm your heart.

Eilat is a great place to scuba dive, snorkel, or do water sports. It is also extremely hot. So if your reason for going is to be underwater, I recommend it. If you want to be on land, don't come in the summer.

Eilat is lovely. A perfect resort. Great restaurants. Great Red Sea. Clean and refreshing. Swimming with nice fish around you, even 10 meters from the beach. I wish Israel would become a peaceful place to accommodate the tourists. Eilat can be a perfect destination for vacation if the politics were accommodating and Israel became an integral part of the Middle East.

worme area and brighting city very easy to get around you feel comfortable and see stunning views . The residents are cheerful. The police maintain order and security, so you feel safer than in other cities.And let's not forget the adventures with the sea.

Eilat is a nice getaway for family- surrounded by beautiful views of mountains and the ocean, there are plenty of activities for everyone and it can work for any budget. One can go to a fancy hotel or stay in a basic hostel like we did. good idea is to plan itinerary in advance since there is so much to do.
