I had a fantastic stay at Hollies Hideaway! Even though the apartment is perfect for more than two, it was just me and it felt so safe and cozy. It’s in a lovely quiet spot just outside Donegal town, beautifully decorated, spotless, and the bed is super comfy. Tracey left a really thoughtful welcome pack, which was such a nice touch. The setting is peaceful and exactly what I needed to unwind. I’d happily stay here again and definitely recommend it!

Donegal was the least favorite part of our two week trip to Ireland. We were bored. It was a sleepy small town and the food choices were limited. We didn't find people to be friendly or welcoming and in fact I was looking at souvenirs and decided to not buy anything, because I couldn't find what I wanted and the owner of the store called me a name. My hubby and I didn't get a welcoming vibe anywhere in Donegal.

I loved going into these stores: Forget Me Not and Distinctly Donegal. I enjoyed my conversation with the owner/creator of the beautiful silver jewelry at Distinctly Donegal. I will check out her website! I loved going to Slieve League and would’ve liked to spend more time hiking there.

Donegal is a beautiful county and the people go to great effort to ensure that visitors have a good experience. Unfortunately the inclement weather and constant mist cannot be controlled. This of course might be the attraction for some visitors. Good food available in bars throughout the county.

Unfortunately our time in Donegal was tainted because we could never reach the Bridges Bed and Breakfast staff to check in. We waited two hours in the car calling, knocking on door, texting etc We ended up having to book another room elsewhere only to learn that the host is known for not showing up. To make matters worse, Booking.com would not refund our payment. Terrible experience and very disappointed.

Loved Donegal Castle - it's all walkable.

Loved Donegal Castle - it's all walkable. We had hoped to take the boat trip but it is at the mercy of the tides and the sailing wasn't going until 4pm on the day we were leaving - so we weren't able to do this. You can do Donegal in a day. There are lots of restaurants.

The apartment is stylish and fully self-contained with a full kitchen, laundry and 2 bedrooms, truly has everything you could need for a few days in Donegal. The centre of the local town was walking distance from the apartment with shops/restaurants within 5-10 mins walk. The hottub was our favourite part, we were in it very night of this visit. Private and comfortable.

Very good location, within 5 mins walking distance of Donegal town with lots of good shops and choice of restaurants. Ideal base for touring around the beautiful coastline of Donegal. Clean, comfortable and warm house with excellent facilities. Host had left some basic foodstuffs for us when we arrived which was a nice touch.

Very comfortable large well furnished room, nice bathroom. good breakfast and dining food with excellent service. Ample parking and easy access to Donegal town centre. We stayed in 10 hotels across a 3 week trip in Ireland and this was the best but by no means the most expensive.
