Such a pretty little town especially if the weather is good. We went out of season (April) so a lot of places weren't open but we were able to find a choice of restaurants for our evening meal. We were only there for 24 hours so didn't have time to visit the various museums so perhaps a couple of days would have been better. Only downside was the heaps of tourists/tour groups. Szentendre is a picturesque town with a lot of interesting alleys to walk through and find hidden gems, including the walk down to the Danube River and along the path towards the Japanese Garden. I also visited Skansen the Open Air Museum which was an hour’s walk although you can take the bus. Many of the reconstructed buildings have information in English. This city is a hiden gem near to the capital. Worth the visit if you arround the capital. If you traveling with family and kids and not that fancy about the big cities than I would recommend you to consider to have an accommodation in Szentendre and visit BP during the day. Microwave oven, fridge and kettle are installed. WiFi was fine. Location is good - 10 minutes walk from the Spar, nearest restaurant and pharmacy. 25 minus walk from the center Of Szentendre. Tipp. If you go with a low height car, do not climb the street that goes to the hoot, park instead at the entrance/bottom of the street.
