If we could give 100 stars we would. Staying at Maria Apartments in Epidavros was a truly wonderful experience. The premises are impeccably clean and well maintained. It is a safe place to be whether you are traveling alone or with children. The view is breathtaking. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. The staff were an absolute joy to engage with. We had the unusual situation of becoming sick during our stay in Greece, which could have been very stressful. But we could not have hoped to be in a better place. The staff went above and beyond, helping us contact a doctor, accommodating us for additional days in the apartment with no hassle, making us special food and generally making sure that we were wonderfully cared for. As foreigners in Greece for the first time, we could not have felt more safe and happy. To say that we highly recommend this place is an understatement.

Beautiful, well-built stone house close to the beach in a charming town. Many places to eat/drink nearby. Lovely yard with colorful flowers. The hosts met us and showed us around the property and provided thoughtful extras such as homemade marmalade and fresh picked oranges.

The hostess is truly amazing — kind, attentive, and always one step ahead to make sure everything runs smoothly. The apartment was elegant, spotless, and fully equipped with everything we needed. The hostess was delightful. We showed up between Christmas and New year so the town was all but shut down. The grocery stores had some fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese and bread so we cooked up a storm in the kitchen and found it to be fully functional. Great sppace for families..had a huge terrace but it was a bit cold to be outside and just sitting still - I imagine it's sublime in the Summer.

Lovely little village. Friendly people, Very nice marina. Great Ice cream parlour, we had a different flavour every evening. The bakery sells wonderful cakes, we tried lots of them. Walked to the beach with the sunken ruins and ate at Athina then bought olives, olive oil and wild oregano from their farm shop - recommended. Had a great time.

I was surprised that despite its fame, it is a small port town. I don't mean this as a criticism, quite the contrary: except for June and July, when, as I heard from Dimitra, there is great demand for accommodation due to the amphitheater performances, you can spend a few days or even a week here in complete tranquility. I am definitely considering returning, if not to Epidaurus itself, then certainly to a nearby secluded cove, where I can rent a small house for a month in the spring or fall.

Epidavros was well worth a visit.

Epidavros was well worth a visit. We only went there because that's where our accommodation was but we were so glad once we arrived. There's plenty to do in the area, not only locally with the Ancient Theatre, lovely harbour and restaurants, kayaking tour including the sunken city, but also a little bit further afield with visits to Nafpoli and Ermioni.

Wonderful quiet, and quaint town with a beautiful view of the bay. The locals were extremely friendly and accommodating, including the local cat population! The Amphitheatre in the ancient town about 15 minutes drive away is insane.

As we drove to our accommodation at Seaside Epidavros we...

As we drove to our accommodation at Seaside Epidavros we were greeted instantly with the most amazing smells of orange trees blossoming. I wanted to stay all night in my car to be surrounded by that smell… It was pure Heaven!! Upon arrival, We were greatful for the ease of parking and promptness of our host getting us into our room, and were thrilled with the beauty of the the property (especially the stone walkways and gorgeous vistas all around). Although our room wasnt anything super new or fancy, it was clean, warm, safe and secure and provided everything we needed for our stay! A sunrise walk around the neighborhood felt safe and was filled with stunning scenery. Some streets in the neighborhood are quite steep, so it was easy to work up a sweat returning back up the hills to our room…which made a swim in the nice cold pool overlooking the sea, especially delightful and refreshing! We were also surprised as a family of 5 by how perfectly filling the provided breakfast items were! The fresh oranges (that looked to be straight from a tree nearby) were incredibly sweet, juicy and delicious, and the bread for toast and butter/jams were perfect!! We wished we had booked more nights here! both for the accomodations and to do more in the area. Within 5 min driving distance of the ancient theatre of epidavros and the sunken city (+ 16 min from the healing center of Asclepious and the bigger theatre at asclepious in epidavros…which we origionally thought was the theatre that is 5 min away, but werent at all bothered to drive a bit further to get to), as well as 30-45 min from stops in Nafplion’s Palamidi fortress and the ancient ruins of Mycenae! Hated to leave! Need to come back soon!

The area offers swimming on the Sardonic Sea, orange and lemon groves, and pomegranate groves. There is hiking and of course, the ancient theater and the surrounding grounds. The theater is a UNESCO site. It's a must-see. Go during the festival and see a play as we did.

The hotel is right on the center in Epidavros. There is very big free parking close to the hotels. The owners were extremely polite an friendly. Every morning we had amazing breakfast. The room had everything needed for our stay. The cleaning of the room was also very good. We will definitely go at least once more. The whole town is very quite and perfect for relaxation.

Extraordinary good location, the object, room, and cleanliness. Nice and friendly owners. The suggestion is to introduce small changes in the offer of the many for breakfast. The beach was practically part of the hotel garden, it was clean, with deep natural shade from the trees. Not crowdy, only some hotel guests. We enjoyed swimming and the rest at the beach.

Wonderful area from where it is difficult to leave when installed. Thé sea sight over Saronic Island is some kind of greek eternity. Thé hotel is locared high and sight is possible over all Saronic Bay, even towards Athens. Swimming pool is of high quality standard, as well as home interiors. We recommend warmly such area, hold and managed by a greek family.

We were welcomed back to Hotel Mike where we have stayed before. Erendi who works at the front of house is charming and took great care of us. The lady who served breakfast was delightful & is fluent in English. We will be going back.
