Majestic with a castle and the crystal blue waters as a backdrop. Methoni is for everyone - it has history, beach, shopping, friendly and welcoming people and amazing food. I highly recommend making a reservation at Castro (a reservation because you will not get a table unless you do) for a delightful cuisine and spectacular view at sunset. You will not regret it. We really enjoyed Methoni.
We really enjoyed Methoni. Wandering around the historic town, exploring the castle, walking the surrounding countryside and ending up at Surreal for coffee or Thalassa for a meal. If you are seeking a quieter holiday it is ideal, although I can only comment on our October holiday when it was not so busy. It is a lovely town with many small streets to explore and friendly people, with the superb castle as its focal point. Methoni is a nice town in the furthest Peloponnese.
Methoni is a nice town in the furthest Peloponnese. It has a real island vibe, more like Crete than the rest of the Peloponnese. Mass tourism has not yet really beaten it down. Pylos is more touristic, but Methoni is just a little further down the road.Guest review byJohnson - 10.0

The water and beach views were beautiful.

The location is set back from the main area of Methoni (which we liked), but only 15mins walk to the main 'square' in town and the beach front. The villa is spacious, modern and private. Cleaning was regular and discreet. If you have a car, it's easy to get to the many beaches in the area. There is plenty of parking for the villa.
