Very central to visit Corfu town by bus €1.60 e.w. for a day trip, gouvia is lovely, gr8 restaurants, fresh food & the beach was lovely, every restaurant we ate in was delish, especially the chinese restaurant, ooh and the bar with the Elvis tribute was brilliant and reasonably priced for drinks too. Gouvia is a village type resort that spiked off the main road to Corfu town . Lots of restaurants and a few bars / motorcycle rentals , supermarkets, tour trips booking centre and apartments and hotels , Everything you need for your hols to hand . The supermarkets are really reasonably priced . The restaurants are plentiful and also priced well . Gouvia is a lovely area, I went with a group of girls in our mid twenties. It was very relaxing and some lovely restaurants (I would really recommend the seafood linguine at 9 muses). Gouvia has some lovely beaches within a couple of minutes of our hotel. It is typically people in their mid 50s but great for a more relaxing, lounge by the pool kind of holiday. We got the bus into the old town or Ipsos to go for drinks/club vibes, which were super easy to navigate and way cheaper than a taxi. We stayed in Gouvia as this was the base for a wedding party...
We stayed in Gouvia as this was the base for a wedding party. Otherwise may not have chosen to visit, but would not be averse to staying there again for a late season sunshine beach holiday. A number of tavernas were already closing by early/mid October. Everywhere in Gouvia is accessible on foot, and other beaches/Corfu town easy to reach by car (if you are brave enough) or by bus.Guest review byMargotUnited Kingdom

They not only helped to book a taxi transfer from the airport but they even upgraded us to a junior suite! Something which we highly appreciated. The rooms were lovely and the hotel is set in a very tranquil garden, 10min walk from Gouvia town, and the beach. The pool and the pool bar were very much appreciated for its serene atmosphere. You have a bus stop not far form it that serves both blue and green lines, so you can easily reach Corfu center and other nice sites (Sidari, Palaiokastritsa...). You also have various restaurants nearby and access to beach. The overall level is very good, the room was simple and clean and was made every day. It has air conditioning. You can park your car in their area. The hosts are very responsive, friendly and welcoming. The location is in Gouvia, a town with shops, restaurants and a nearby public beach (not a very nice one, but calm and easily accessible) only a street across.
