The sea front executive suites are amazing, the sun set for your own private pool is something exceptional, just go for it... Stylish and cozy boutique hotel on the seafront in Réthimno. We picked this hotel because of its excellent location — right in the middle of a long seafront, where we loved running and walking. The hotel has its own small beach just across the road with only 25 comfortable sunbeds which make the stay even more intimate. Guests don’t have to pay for sunbeds (but have to order one drink per person, which you do anyway if you spend time near the sea). The hotel looked very stylish and cozy. The terrace with a sea view where you could have breakfast in the morning and drinks during the whole day was amazing. There was a small swimming pool inside the hotel which was a perfect place to enjoy quiet atmosphere and relax a bit. The room was spacious, clean and stylish, with a small sofa and a balcony overlooking the sea. In addition, it was super important for us to have a peaceful and relaxing place and the hotel room had a very good sound isolation, so we didn’t hear anything happening down the street. The team of the hotel was super friendly. Filio and Irene at the front desk were always available for any kind of questions and requests . We really appreciated our warm communication, we felt like at home. The variety of food during breakfast was pretty good. You could choose from different kinds of bread and pastries, eggs, vegetables, fruit, Greek yogurt and some sweets. As the recommendation to improve — it would be great if you shouldn’t pay extra for the coffee on the bar during breakfast time (espresso, Greek coffee), as not everyone drinks black coffee that was served and included in the price. It would also be a plus if guests could receive the water in the room or at least have access to it in the hotel. In general, we had a lovely stay and can recommend this place for those who travel to Crete.

The rooms are exactly as shown in the pictures, very clean room and hotel, room with all amenities and great matress. We had a free room upgrade which was.much appreciated. The hotel is on the beach with a big veranda overlooking the sea....the pools are big and spacious area around them, which is difficult to find in other hotels around the area. Walking distance to the city centre is around 30 minutes, for us that wasnt trouble because it was less crowded. The breakfast buffett was big, with great variety, it covers all tastes. Highly recommended.

Our experience at Nalu resort&spa was absolutely fantastic. The hotel is perfectly located right in front of a beautiful, clean beach—just a few steps from the room, which made our stay incredibly relaxing. The staff was warm, helpful, and always available for anything we needed. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had a lovely balcony with a sea view. The breakfast was fresh and varied, with plenty of delicious options every morning. We also loved how quiet and peaceful the surroundings were. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a beachside escape with great service and comfort. We will definitely come back!

We loved the cultivated environment (garden, trees, grass, flowers) . The hotel has very good private beach. The materials used for the construction are high valued (a lot of lime stone). The capacity not to be overcrowded. We had breakfast and dinner, waste of quality food.

We loved everything about Kapsaliana Village Hotel - it’s absolutely stunningly restored and a beautiful place to relax and enjoy the surroundings, the pool etc . The staff were all very welcoming, friendly and efficient. The restaurant served delicious food and wine and the breakfast was exceptional ! We also very much enjoyed a visit to Arkadi monastery and the hike back to the hotel . We can’t wait to go back to Kapsaliana !!

    Asterion is a small village, quiet with one main road...

    Asterion is a small village, quiet with one main road through it. There are a couple of restaurants (one traditional Greek, one with an Indian/Mexican/European fusion cuisine), a church and occasionally some sheep crossing the road. Very charming and quaint, slightly inland and on a hill (with views of the sea). For amenities such as a baker, pharmacy, supermarket or bars you need to drive 5 mins. down the road to Stavromenos, or 15 mins. to much livelier Rethymno.
