Safe village with rich Svaneti Historical museum. Worth to visit Laghami church as well. In the country, which is famous for wines, visiting local beer brewery "Setieli" might be an exotic adventure and fun. Favourite place to eat Lanchvali restaurant, if too tired to get up to the hill, "Lushnu Our" might be the second choise, although too crowdy. Cable car get you up to Zuruldi masiff. We really liked Mestia surrounded by magnificent mountains. It's a small cozy town. Wooden and stone buildings perfectly complement the mountain scenery. As for food, for a small town there is a good choice of restaurants, cafes, and there are also small grocery stores.
