The lady in the front desk was so nice, warm and friendly. I think her name was Esther, she welcomed us so warmly when we stumbled tired and worn into the hotel a late evning. She made sure we had everything we needed and her warm attitude made us feel so safe and welcomed after a long week driving through Europe. Her professional and nice catering towards us made the first impression so good that we paid for an extra night

Staff were lovely and helpful. Room was perfect for me travelling alone. Bed was comfy. It was clean and fresh towels every day. The food in the winebar was amazing. Will definitely stay again.

The location was very central yet overlooked a park and the sea. We received a very warm welcome from Jayne who did everything to ensure we were comfortable. Our room was beautifully decorated and the bathroom looked brand new, partly due to high standards of cleanliness throughout and partly because it was almost brand new. The dining room was light, bright and airy and the breakfast excellent, catering for our very fussy diets!!! Would highly recommend this wonderful b & b.

Absolutely charming property in an excellent location. Great local walks on the doorstep Comfortable bed and furniture Clean, didn’t see hosts but they were very responsive to anything we needed they just left us to it which is what we prefer

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location, right next to Harwich beach. Easy to reach by car (parking on the street in front of the house was no problem) and an easy 10-15 minute walk from Harwich Dovercourt train station. The house is lovely, clean and comfortable. Our host Sue was very easy and pleasant to communicate with and it was very easy to access the house.

    Spotlessly clean a wonderful shower and nice coffeemaker Would have been a perfect stay if there had been aircon had fan but still had to have windows open and was kept wake by loud noise from the port

    We know of shotley and the long drive down to reach the...

    We know of shotley and the long drive down to reach the accommodation but our room was well worth the drive we loved being able to open the door onto the balcony and sit back and watch the world and sea go by. Well worth taking a bottle or two to sit back and unwind if you don’t want to use the bar but the bar and restaurant are both there and well worth a look

    Room was great with super facilities.

    Room was great with super facilities. Had balcony so could enjoy glass of wine with a river/sea view. Had dinner and breakfast in the pub, which were super. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Bear in mind it is very close to a working dock so there is some noise. Well worth trying to ignore for the relaxing break
