A charming city with several attractions, in particular the majestic cathedral. We took a tour of the city with a guide who was not only knowledgeable but delightful. The cathedral also provides free guides who are also delightful. We visited Sir Edward Heath’s house situated around the expansive green of the cathedral. Well worth a visit. We had dinner at The New Inn one evening. The town has excellent shoos including some antique shops that are worth a visit.

Would have loved spending a few more days exploring this sweet town/city. Interesting shops and restaurants. Would most definitely stay at the Victoria Lodge Guest House again. Sweet accommodations and host. Within walking distance to town centre 10-15 minutes. Also, 20 minute drive to Stonehenge.

Fabulous cathedral, hotel excellent choice if going to a concert. Next to a carpark which allows free parking overnight after 6.00pm. Advise booking a restaurant as Salisbury is very busy. We were lucky to find a little gem to eat, Cafe Diwali, Crane St. delicious food, definitely recommend it.

Market was great, really buzzing and lots to look at.

Market was great, really buzzing and lots to look at. Visited the Cathedral but would definitely go back to book to do the roof space and steeple tour next time. Visited Arundells, so interesting and lots of helpful guides in each room. Tons of shops ! Did everything on foot so very easy. Went out in the evening to Ghurka Kitchen near the hotel. Fabulous ! Had a walk around town until quite late, great atmosphere and felt perfectly safe. Did not have enough time to see the National Trust Mompressor House. So will be going back to do more !

The city has the perfect mix of old & new combined.

The city has the perfect mix of old & new combined. The history and Cathedral alongside the modern town with a huge Saturday market. Plenty of green space and local attractions. It's not often I say I could live somewhere that I have visited but I felt like this was a nice place to live and would love to visit again at Christmas.

Parts of the town aren’t great - rather run down, lots of empty shops - but the area round the market and St Thomas church is very good. We also found a superb breakfast at The Orangery. Walking by the river is pleasant too. And of course the cathedral is wonderful, although so is St Thomas church with its superb Doom painting and modern font and altar.

The view from our hotel room. The fact we could walk into the garden and see the river from our bedroom was amazing. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The eggs benedict were lovely, but the full English, the scramble eggs were full of oil, so go for poached eggs. Great location, very near the city centre but away enough to relax. We would totally visit again.

The hotel is located in the city centre, within a short walk to the Cathedral and bars plus restaurants etc. Our rooms were spacious enough, the beds were comfortable and everything worked as it should. The rooms were very clean, including after we returned to them after a day out. The housekeepers did a excellent job.

A beautifully maintained hotel in a great location within Salisbury city centre, balancing fabulous wonky features with modern facilities like the en-suite bathrooms. Great staff who were very helpful. Car parking is about 200m away in a large public car park. We were upgraded on arrival which was a nice surprise.

We liked everything about this hotel, the room, the terrace and the beautiful view, not to mention the shuttle service to and from the city centre. There is no restaurant in the hotel, but they served a lovely breakfast in serene surroundings. There were 2 EV charging points.
