Excellent location to explore Bodmin Moor (I explored by foot). The house is lovely, a former chapel. My room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. The bathroom is shared but since I was the only guest I had it to myself. There’s a beautiful bathtub in the bathroom which I enjoyed using. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. I received recommendations of places to explore in the area. Breakfast (I opted for a cooked breakfast) was very tasty. I highly recommend Chapel House and would happily return!

Food excellent 👌 all the staff very friendly lovely homely feel to hotel we booked a lodge and then decided to move to hotel room not a problem . Dinner and breakfast were delicious. Lovely gardens and great for families we will be back

We stayed one night at Phoenix Farm in the shepherds hut, and it was exactly what we hoped for. The hut was beautifully decorated, and well equipped, with an added bonus of cream teas upon arrival, and fresh eggs for sale just outside. There is wood stove with kindling and logs provided, which was handy when the hut gets chilly in the evenings, so that it quickly became cosy! It was fantastic to experience the ponies just outside our enclosed area, as well as two tiny lambs curled up by our door step when we woke in the morning, with their mum nearby.. which made the stay even more special and rememberable! Only critism would be that the shower was not hot enough, but due to the limitations of such accomodation it is understandable, and wouldn't be a problem in the summer.

The 200yr old cottage was beautiful and loved its quirky...

The 200yr old cottage was beautiful and loved its quirky rooms. Had everything we needed and felt very comfortable and relaxed. Situated in an ideal position for exploring the stunning Bodmin moors, Goliath’s falls, siblyback lake and then the coasts to the south and north. Look forward to returning again. We ate at the Crows nest which was great and staff very friendly.
